✨32✨ It’s been another beautiful solar return! One full of lots of love, family, transition, strength and community.

A goal that I had for this past year was to get stronger and to feel a bigger sense of community. I didn’t know exactly how these things would happen but apparently I manifested the s**t out of these goals 🤣

Not only did I start a new job that happens to exist in a CrossFit gym (naturally became a member and have been loving it) but I have also been able to connect with my community more by working in the town next to mine. I get to empower women on a daily basis and I feel so incredibly lucky to do so.

It’s been a really fulfilling year and I am so thankful for this life of mine and for those that are part of it big and small!

As always- shout out to Andy on National Diabetes Day! You are my rock and I love you ❤️

How does your core help your pelvic floor?

The abdominal muscles, specially transverse abdominis (the deep core), has a co-contraction with the pelvic floor allowing for improved contraction and support!

It’s not the end…it’s a re-birth ✨

Things have been busy to say the least. I started a new job with in the beginning of August and I have been working a lot getting antiquated to the new and working to build my caseload.

Q4 has turned into my new home.

So in essence, Jaclyn Collentro Wellness (as it’s own company) does not exist anymore.

✨However, I am calling this a re-birth because I still exist and my offerings still exist, it all just has a new home with Q4 Physical Therapy!✨

More to come on that! Stay tuned :)

During my session with a client Tuesday she said “[Birth is] the ultimate exercise in staying calm" and I just about exploded because she is so right!

Laboring is contractions of the uterus to move baby out of you. It is passive. As in you have to try your best to just let them happen. The time that labor becomes active is during the pushing stage.

All of this is extremely painful.

What do we do when we are in pain? Usually tense up 😖 therefore working on staying clam is a huge part in preparing for birth. Also reminding yourself that the pain you are feeling is supposed to be happening and it’s not dangerous.

Whew 😥 that is not easy but it is so important to practice and have tools (positions, movements, partner/birthing team support) ahead of time.

What do you actually get in my Empowering Prenatal Program? 🧐

The Empowering Prenatal Program is a 1:1 coaching program over the course of 4 months. The program covers many topics including but not limited to:

✨Pelvic floor connection and education
✨Pelvic floor connection (36 weeks and later), perineal massage
✨Exercise (curated program if need, advice about current program etc)
✨Nutrition review/explanation
✨Stress management tools
✨Stages of labor
✨How to create a birth plan/preferences
✨Birth Prep (+ signs of labor)
✨Laboring positions/birthing positions
✨Pain management option education
✨Support during pregnancy and after birth
✨Mindfulness
✨Future planning (help at home, daycare, ect)
✨Postpartum prep (meals, products for mom, etc)

Each session is held via zoom and meetings are scheduled every other week. Eight sessions over 4 months in addition to the initial deep dive session and a wrap up session.

As your coach I am here to fill in the gaps between what your provider says and what the internet says. I have resources so that you don’t have to go down the rabbit holes of the internet and that will help you ask your provider effective questions.

The ultimate goal is for you to feel like you have someone in your corner to go to who will listen and spend time with you to prepare your body, your mind, and your environment to welcome your baby into this world without losing focus on the most important part: you (the mom). Mother’s make the world go around and I am here to help you find your power during this transformative time.

Last week I celebrated 2 years of Jaclyn Collentro Wellness and it has been such a joy to support mamas in their journey to motherhood!
