✨When it's taking longer than you hoped to get pregnant, it's natural to think; what am I doing wrong? What's wrong with me? Why is my body failing me? Even to hate yourself.
🗣People tell you about all the things you MUST do; the things that helped them, helped their friend, their friend's friend. They say ‘oh just relax’, ‘go on a holiday’, ‘have you tried acupuncture’, ‘you must see an x practitioner’, ‘cut gluten and dairy and it will happen', 'try this supplement'🤯.....
😥It's a lot of pressure to do all the things. Most of the advice doesn't have enough or consistent, proof or evidence if any at all but it can make you think that you aren't doing enough or you need to do more. It can make you feel that it's your fault.
🚨But know this: Infertility is not your fault. Losing your baby is not your fault. You are precious and there's only one of you🤗
🥗Lifestyle changes can improve fertility, drugs can reduce recurrent miscarriage and assistive reproductive techniques provide treatment for infertility. If treatment doesn't work, it's not because you did something wrong. If you decided not to go ahead with any form of treatment or alternative therapy, you aren't making a mistake. It's your choice to take whatever steps you want to take; do what feels right for you.
Do it because it makes you feel better and not because someone else made you feel you should. Never feel that you aren't doing enough because you are doing the best you can.
I say this in hindsight. I did everything I possibly could to get pregnant, I really felt the pressure and I didn't look after myself along the way.
So don’t do what I did! Please be kind to yourself and look after you❤️
