You have a choice. Each and every day when you wake up, you get to decide who you want to be. You can wake up and choose to let your past mistakes, worries, or fears keep you small, cold, and distant from your true self. Or you can wake up and decide to make a change. To be better than the person you were yesterday. To open your heart, to love yourself & others, to be kind, to appreciate every second you have here on this earth. ⁣⁣

You get to decide whether you’d like to feel like a watered down half version of your true self, or feel alive being a unique powerful being standing in your own authentic truth. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It’s terrifying to be yourself in a society that ostracizes differences. You want to fit in & to be liked so maybe you hide parts of your own truth, or put on a mask to please others. I bet this has made you feel even more alone & disconnected from yourself. I see you, I’ve been there. ⁣⁣

What I also know is that you desire on a deep soul level to be loved & accepted for who you truly are without any judgement. ⁣⁣

How freeing would it feel to show up in the world every single day exactly as you are? ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
To express yourself openly, to share how you feel & what you think. ⁣⁣
To meet people with empathy knowing everyone has their own differences & perspectives. ⁣⁣
To encourage people to be more themselves and allow them to feel comfortable in your presence doing so. ⁣⁣

You’d start to realize how un-alone you actually are. I promise you, we’re all in this together to walk each other through life, you just have to look past the illusion. ⁣⁣

The only way to feel connected, fulfilled & happy inside your being is by BEING you. Open your heart, take off the mask, break down the walls. ⁣⁣

I’ll continue to stand in my own truth so you can feel more comfortable standing in yours. I stand for love above all. For living from the heart & not the head. For compassion & understanding of every person no matter what fears or traumas they may be projecting onto me. I love you as you are. ⁣⁣

So, whose life are you actually living?⁣

The life that society, your parents, your friends, the media tells you is acceptable? ⁣

Or ⁣

The life that aligns with your true authentic self? ⁣

If you’re putting limits on your own abilities, doubting yourself & making yourself small to fit in, you aren’t living your own life. Your fear of rejecting belief systems that are out of alignment with who you truly are is what keeps you unfree. ⁣

Do you wanna live to fit in with the crowd or do you wanna live to feel, be seen & heard for who you are on a soul level? ⁣

The option is always yours😉

As a recovering perfectionist I can assure you that perfect pictures, poses, or lighting won’t fill that void you feel inside you. Neither will losing weight, dying your hair, or buying that expensive purse. The materialistic society we live in is meant to keep you wanting more so that you keep believing you’re not enough. ⁣Break free by owning everything about yourself- flaws & all!⁣

Make peace with food, make peace with your body☮️⁣

No, I don’t track my macros & I never will again. Tracking macros took me down a slippery slope- it started out as a healthy option then became obsessive really quick. For me, keeping track of every little thing I ate was really damaging to my mental state. I leaned into intuitive eating when I decided it was time to actually have control over my body verses letting food control me. ⁣

I understand my body on such a deeper level now. I know what it needs to feel energized, I know what foods make me feel dull & I know how to nurture it back to feeling it’s best when I’ve eaten foods out of the norm. ⁣

Intuitive eating emphasizes internal cues over external diet rules. It’s a non diet approach to eating that improves your body image & your relationship with food. ⁣

3 ways to help get you started with intuitive eating right away👇🏻⁣

1️⃣Pretend like you’ve never eaten food before in your life (lol just stay with me). Try foods like it’s your first time- without having any judgement or opinion about the food. How do you feel while you’re eating the food? How does it make your body feel after you’re done? Be honest with yourself. It’s like a game of detective in the beginning🔍⁣

2️⃣Trust your body to let you know when you’re hungry & full. Are you eating just bc it’s “time” to eat, or maybe you’re bored, or is it because you’re actually hungry? Are you eating enough food to make you feel satiated at the end of your meal? Or are you finishing up your entire plate bc you don’t want to waste food? Your body will let you know when to eat more or less- listen to it!⁣

3️⃣Give yourself compassion. Some days will feel successful & others not so much. All that matters is you don’t give up. If you’ve been stuck in a diet cycle for years it’s hard to get off that cycle right away! Be easy with yourself, take baby steps & keep the goal of body & food freedom in mind🙌🏻⁣

This applies to everything- your diet, exercise, environment, relationships, career. You’re a unique individual with unique needs, there is no such thing as the “best” way, unless you’re listening to your own body! ⁣

Have you ever tried a nutrition plan that worked great for someone you know but had the opposite impact on you? There’s too much conflicting information out there that leads you feeling even more confused than when you started. And the worst part is, the more you learn the more confusing it could get! ⁣
