I once read that grief is like glitter.
At first, it’s everywhere.
Too much. Too bright. Impossible to ignore.
It gets on everything — your floor, your couch, your desk, your body.
Then time passes.
You sweep, you clean, you think you’ve finally cleared it away.
And one day, it shows up again.
In your car.
In your bed.
In your hands.
In a quiet moment you weren’t expecting.
It’s not as blinding as before.
It’s softer now. Quieter.
And somehow… seeing it there makes you smile.
Not because the loss hurts less —
but because love always leaves traces. ❣️
