This blue droplets? Mugwort essential oil.

And underneath? Mugwort hydrosol, straight from the copper still.

I harvest the plant and enjoy every second of the long and slow distillations.

Elderberry season in the mountains. 🌿🫐

There’s something magical about finding elder growing wild beside running water. Heavy with berries, tucked into the rocks and pines.

This is where so much of what I create begins.

WITH THE PLANT.

Walking the land. Watching what’s growing. Returning through the seasons. Harvesting by hand when the time is right, taking what I need and leaving plenty behind.

These wild elderberries will make their way from the mountains into my apothecary but this part will always be my favorite.

Plant → harvest → medicine → creation. 🌿
