Holistic Health, Weight Loss, Self-Care & Brain Health Coaching for Women 30+ It's my pleasure to empower my clients to do the same!

As a holistic health practitioner specializing in Chronic Pain, I work with women who suffer from headaches & migraines, fibromyalgia and other chronic health conditions that benefit greatly from bodywork and an anti-inflammatory diet. I further support my massage & coaching clients by teaching them stress-busting tools to use at home, between massages. Services Offered: Hot Stone Massage, Reiki,

Aromatherapy, Nutritional consultations & Intuitive Eating, Weight Loss Coaching by phone (long distance as well as local), Mindful Eating and Healthy Lifestyle Coaching. As a massage therapist, I help clients discover where and how their bodies hold stress, interrupt long-standing patterns of muscle tension and address postural habits that keep the body stuck in a cycle of pain. My clients also learn first-hand that their whole body is a "taste bud" -- that relaxation and physical pleasure can be totally separate from indulging in sugary foods or other unhealthy habits. My bodywork and nutritional advice are designed to reset brain chemistry, flush out stress hormones, rebuild the body's immune system and improve clients' overall ability to relax. As a physique model in my free time, I use my body to showcase the level of fitness that is possible when you eat an allergen-free, anti-inflammatory diet. I "accidentally" got into the best shape of my life following a nutritional & exercise protocol for balanced brain chemistry, reduction of chronic pain and hormonal balance.

We are all exposed to an unbelievable number of toxic chemicals every day (in the hundreds of thousands). We can’t avoid toxins; all we can do is try to reduce our toxic exposures and do some sort of detox daily, to alleviate the worst of our toxic burden.

This week I’ve spent many hours recording and posting educational videos for YouTube and Instagram. Here are a few fun still shots from my Coffee E***a Tutorial, where I demonstrated how to make green juice if you don’t have a juicer (using a blender and straining through a nut milk bag).

Want to check out my latest 4 videos? Go to the YouTube channel “lisatalev” or the Instagram handle to view them.

I recently had a few major breakthroughs that show me clearly, this birthday marks the start of a bright new chapter, with radical improvements in my health and energy levels. Can’t wait to share what I’ve learned with you all in the weeks and months to come!

Just posted a new sound healing (toning) meditation to my YouTube channel, “lisatalev”. It’s under 15 minutes long and provides a full chakra balancing effect when you sing along, even if you don’t have tuning forks at home. Try it out and let me know how it was for you. For me, it’s always a foolproof way to quiet the analytical “thinking” mind and get me back into a state of open awareness. Hope it does the same for you!

Here’s a link so you can watch and sing along:

Do you Do you know about the benefits of Swedish bitters? For years I ignored all the rave reviews, since I hate bitter flavors. But recently I discovered that they taste great if you add a few drops of stevia to sweeten them (tastes like herbal tea). Bitters help your liver produce bile: an essential compound in fat digestion, absorption of fat-soluble nutrients and also detoxification. For those of us who ate low fat diets for a long time, bile production gets impaired. For people with high toxicity, liver and/or gallbladder issues, making sure you’re producing high quality bile is essential—especially if you get your gallbladder (bile storage duct) removed! I’ve noticed better digestion & detox from coffee e***as after adding this supplement to my routine. I take 1 teaspoon of bitters mixed into 8 ounces warm water (cold drinks weaken digestion) + 2-4 drops stevia before meals containing fat (or prior to coffee e***a), 1-2 times per day. The body typically recycles bile, which holds a lot of toxins, so I like doing coffee e***as a couple times a week to purge the toxic bile, and add bitters to make sure I’m producing more high quality bile. If you have poor digestion or a high toxic burden, talk to your doctor to see if bitters could be right for you! (Easily found at health food stores & on Amazon.)

You’ve probably never heard of this yet, since it’s still being discovered by functional medicine doctors and health nerds like me. (As always, check with your Dr. / medical expert before starting any new supplement.) I learned about this little-known substance through an in-depth interview during the Dr Talks Lyme Disease Summit and I knew I had to try it! C60 (carbon 60) is THE strongest antioxidant out there: a free radical quencher that helps mitochondria work more efficiently, even reducing / eliminating post-workout soreness & fatigue. It has a crazy-long list of benefits because it works at the mitochondrial level, impacting cell function and energy, detox, hormones, organ function and more. It has anti-aging benefits as well as improving sexual function & drive, skin health & healing, even regrowth of thinning hair over time…the list goes on & on, especially the longer you take it. Check out the YouTube video I have a screenshot of in the 4th image here, of the chief science officer Ken Schwartz explaining what C60 is, how it works, and why you should avoid any brand that’s cheaply made (with toxic solvents or imposter ingredients). I’ve watched several hours of interviews about it so far and have been taking it for 2 weeks myself, noticing major improvements in several areas, especially skin texture, and fading dark spots. This weekend they’re having a major sale where you can get 25% off anything on their site—a rare deal for them. You can go to ShopC60.com to check out their whole line of products and see how big a discount their coupon code will give you. I was hesitant to invest in a full 8 oz bottle of the MCT oil since it’s pricey, but after sampling smaller bottles of their flavored oil and using their roll-on skin formula on my face, I’m hooked!! If you struggle with toxic overload, brain fog, insomnia, chronic fatigue, depression or other energy-related disorders, C60 just might be a game changer for you. 💜

Guess what time it is again? Mercury retrograde!! Does that hit you hard too? I’ve been one of those people getting “when it rains it pours” rained on with one unforeseen stressor after another. One of those stressors is an unexpected broken toe! Thought I was stepping through the back door, but was too close to the metal door frame and smashed my baby toe into it last night!! Currently awaiting X-ray results, so I’m elevating my foot and running FSM (Frequency Specific Microcurrent) from knee to little toe. Taking this opportunity to slow down, rest, take a break from the fast spin of modern life. I’m Running FSM frequencies to stop internal bleeding, mend torn and broken tissues, reduce swelling, etc. It’s not immediate healing, but compared to healing time without it, FSM helps quite a bit. This will also force me to cultivate a seated Qigong practice for the next 4-6 weeks, so I will hopefully be posting some short seated Qigong videos for those of you who are injured, sick or disabled. Hoping to turn this unfortunate incident into something positive that serves us all!

As promised, you can now find the 5th and final section of the Level One Qigong Form (Push Hands & Closing Procedure) up on the “lisatalev” YouTube channel. Push Hands is one of the most fun to do, as it teaches you to externalize qi (or “chi”), sending it out the palms of your hands. We build strength and cultivate personal power through this daily practice.

I learned about this cheap, effective cleaning product from the environmental toxins educator for health professionals, Lara Adler- . It’s the best toilet cleaner, no smell, only $2+ change . Household cleaning products with bleach and other harsh chemicals can expose us to toxic chlorine gas and more, even hormone disrupters. This is a great replacement for Comet, toilet bowl cleaner, etc!

Here’s a quick, easy recipe for : bring 4 cups of water to boil, then add 3-4 tsp Better Than Bouillon chicken bouillon paste, 2 Tbs GF tamari/soy sauce. Once water hits a good boil, add 1/2 red onion-thinly sliced, 2 large garlic cloves-grated, a thumb of fresh ginger-peeled & grated, 1/2 tsp Chinese 5-spice, and 4 Pasture Bird or other free range chicken breast tenders. Simmer the chicken with all the spices for 8 minutes, then add in chopped cilantro and/or fresh basil. Simmer 1-2 more minutes or turn off heat and let it sit 2 more minutes. Remove chicken tenders (or your favorite small cut of chicken), pull out tendon and shred meat into bite size pieces, then mix back in with the soup. You can also mix in veggies of your choice like small-cut asparagus, broccoli or cauliflower and simmer w/the chicken. In a separate pot, while the soup is cooking, bring 6-8 cups of water to boil, add some salt, then add 2 servings of Pad Thai style rice noodles (GF). Bring back to a boil and cook just 4 minutes, so they’re slightly undercooked. Drain, then immediately divide noodles into 2 portions (one in each big soup bowl). When soup is finished, pour half of it over each bowl of noodles and serve. Mix well before eating. The noodles soften up to perfection after a minute of sitting in the broth. If you’re eating half now/half later, save the undercooked noodles on their own in the fridge, then after heating the last of the soup back up, pour it over the cold leftover noodles. (If you reheat noodles in the broth, they end up mushy!)
