ROLLOUT OF UNIFIED PWD IDS
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will release the unified identification system for persons with disabilities (PWDs) starting Oct. 13.
This follows the positive feedback received from PWDs in the pilot phase conducted, where the registration process allegedly took only 7 to 10 minutes.
Digital PWD ID features QR code for faster verification of establishments and more secured authentication.
Currently, 56 local government units (LGUs), or equivalent to 311 PWD ID records, which belong to the pilot phase are registered. Approval is at 256 here while 55 are under review.

Sa kasalukuyan, nasa 56 na local government units (LGUs), o katumbas ng 311 PWD ID records, na kabilang sa pilot phase ang rehistrado na. Nasa 256 dito ang aprubado habang 55 ang under review.
