Late post, but worth sharing…

A couple months ago, Aliyah stood up to a bully at school who was picking on another girl…a girl who’s also part of our dojo family. It got to the point where hands were put on this girl and Aliyah stepped in and basically said, “you’re gonna have to go through me first.”

Let’s just say… that girl never bothered her again.

Her mom told Kyoshi Callan and Kyoshi Floyd what happened, and Aliyah was recognized at karate in front of everyone and given this beautiful picture. Just one of those moments 🥺

Raise kind kids.
Raise brave kids.
Raise the ones who stand up when it’s hard.

So so proud of you, Aliyah🥹❤️

Today is Bella’s birthday.
She would have been 11 years old today.

Happy heavenly birthday to my girl. 🤍
Forever loved, forever missed, always with me.

I hope you’re running free, pain-free, and soaking up all the love up there …just like you did here.

My sister took a picture of Bella… and then turned it into this and I honestly can’t get over it.

This didn’t come easy… I know her. I know the time, the thought, and the love that went into every single detail. And that’s what makes it hit even harder. This was so intentional, so heartfelt, and so meaningful.

I am SO grateful for my sister and this beautiful gift. Thank you so much. 🤍🐾

but fueling after is where the REAL results kick in 👀🔥

And listen …I’m DEF not where I want to be yet,
but I’m definitely not where I was a couple months ago.

Progress is progress. 💪

Life’s been shifting, so I’ve been shifting with it… new workout times, keeping my lymphatic system moving, and these MetCon workouts have been exactly what my body needed.

And the nurse/wellness coach in me has to say this:
If you didn’t already know, your lymphatic system is basically your body’s waste removal + immune support highway… but it has NO PUMP like your heart.

… It only moves when YOU move …muscle contractions, deep breathing, sweating, circulation… all of it.

That’s why I love MetCon workouts.

The heart rate spikes, the strength, the breath work, the sweating… it all helps move lymph out of your tissues so your body can drain, detox, and feel lighter.

And here’s something most people don’t realize: feeling puffy, sluggish, or heavy is often lymph, not “weight.”

Also, about 70% of your immune cells live in your lymph, so when it’s flowing, your whole system works better.

Honestly… a perfect reminder of why moving your body matters.

Now … Aliyah has been saying for MONTHS …honestly YEARS now.. that I always end up matching you. I never paid attention until recently, and then halfway into todays MetCon I was like,
“Wtf… she is RIGHT. What are the fu***ng chances?!” 😂

We’re not always wearing the same top or leggings, but the colors are almost always matching or reversed.

Legit 80% of the time.

Black sports bra on me, black leggings on you… your top the same color as my leggings.

She called it and I had to share 😂

It’s been a minute, but here we are…

Life’s been throwing changes left and right, and I’m just rolling with it.

Even my workouts are at a totally different time of day now… feels weird as hell, but I’m still showing up.

Adapt.
Adjust.
Keep going.

I’m holding her again… but not in the way I ever thought or imagined. 💔

Now that Bella’s ashes are home, it feels even more real. Like a piece of me is missing all over again.

She wasn’t just a dog… she was my constant, my comfort, the one I could ALWAYS count on. I fu***ng miss her so much. Everything reminds me of her.

Sometimes I feel ridiculous… like I should just move on, but how do you move on from your best friend? 🕊️
