We live in a world of instant gratification. So of course it’s easy to give up when those pounds don’t drop off after that first bite of salad and 30 minute workout đŸ€Ł
It’s even easier to give up after that 100th salad and 82nd workout....but that’s not how this works!

In all seriousness though, make sure you’re spending time with those who are a positive influence.
If you can’t find that at home then you can always take in positive reading, podcasts and entertainment.
And in turn...do your best to be a light for others as well 😘

Ok so we’re supposed to fuel our bodies with healthy foods like vegetables right?
Well that’s great but if you’re anything like me, I want something that tastes good, that I’m looking forward to eating and that doesn’t feel like a chore right!!??
If I’m not looking forward to what I have planned for a meal you better bet I’m probably going to skip it and choose something I like.
So, take time to think about the things you love to eat and then figure out how you can make that a healthy meal.
Listen, I have a love/hate relationship with chicken so if I plan a lunch salad with chicken on it and that chicken 🐓 rubs me the wrong way (NO ONE wants a chicken rubbing them the wrong way) then I’m gonna probably skip it. HOWEVER.....I ALWAYS LOVE bacon đŸ„“! So....I use bacon on my lunch salads! I’ve got mounds of green veggies đŸ„Ź, I add fruit, I drizzle a lil bit of dressing but those 2 strips of bacon keep me coming back for more đŸ€Ł
Not many people LOVE veggies but if you can find a way to make it pleasant by adding some flare....by all means, add the flare 🎉 and EAT YOUR VEGGIES!!!!! 😘

The other day I was trying to take a post-workout pic that looked “cute”. My 11 year was watching me and I said something like “how do I make this picture look good” just thinking out loud... to which my son replied “mom you look beautiful all the time, I love you how you are” đŸ€Ż
Two things came to mind (well 3 actually)...
One - what an amazing blessing it is to be loved unconditionally they way a child loves you. Because no matter what filter we see ourselves through they ONLY see us as the best! 💕
Two - why can’t I see myself the way he sees me? I often only see myself through the filter of MY WORST!
Three - I don’t want to set the example to him of not loving and being compassionate to myself just based on how I view my outward appearance or the filter I view myself through that picks up on my worst.
I CAN to better and I WANT to do better! So here’s a shot that I wasn’t thrilled with, but it’s me, sweaty and in need of sunlight and hair color đŸ€ŁđŸ˜– but me. The me that my kids and husband and friends love and the me that I’ll work to love 💕

So many people have said that at home workouts don’t work.
Let me tell you what I LOVE about at home workouts....
- I don’t have to wear cute gym clothes đŸ€Ł
- I don’t have to waste time driving to and from the gym
- The program and calendar are all spelled out for me
- I can choose a program based on how much time I have
- I can choose a program based on the intensity level I want
- I can choose weather I want to dance, lift, do cardio or stretching
- my workouts are lead by top trainers in the industry
- And on and on and on đŸ€“
With all the gyms closed what are you waiting for!? Give it a try!!
