🫤Change is hard to make happen, especially with a whole family. It's one thing to accomplish an individual goal, but to achieve a goal that effects the whole family--that can be a lot harder.
💫Oftentimes, in our moments of readiness to make change because we are "fed up" with how something is going we jump into making the biggest and most obvious change first. And in doing so we forget to lay the ground work with some small steps that lead us towards the big change.
✅️ Don't forget that YOU are ready for the change, you have been thinking and planning for weeks, months, maybe years!
But the rest of your family is probably not on the same page or ready for the same level of change.
👉Kids desire to feel in control of what is happening to them, and this is especially true when it comes to food. It is a 100% natural emotion, so make sure to bring them along in the journey towards change.
I always encourage families to start with talking to their families about how you are doing food, and the changes that are going to come. Looking at how to make small thoughtful steps that will change the whole process for everyone into a more enjoyable and less stressful process.
I'm all for big change, but knowing how to make those small first steps will often dictate the outcome of making long lasting change.
