It’s been a while since I shared a devineeee recipe— I started this space to help people find joy in eating and cooking with whole, real foods, while sprinkling in what has served me in my own health/postpartum/ toddler-raising journey— and my goal is to keep that evolving.

But alas! I’m also chasing a tiny human. And he forces me to stay present. (Luckily he also allows me to try out new recipes on him 😉).

Here’s one we all loved this weekend 🌮

Breakfast Tacos (serves 2)
- 4 corn tortillas
- smashed avocado
- shredded cabbage (don’t knock it til you try it in this taco)
- 4 scrambled eggs
- 1/2 cup sautéed greens
- optional/recommended toppings: diced onions, black beans, cheese, salsa

Assemble it your way, and enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving eve! Brussels are having a forever moment, so I bring you… crispy balsamic brussels with pancetta. My go-to side for the holidays! (Thank you )

Ingredients:
(Serves 12-14)
- 3-4 lbs Brussels sprouts, trimmed and cut in half through the core
- 8 ounces pancetta, diced
- 1/4 cup + 2 Tbs good olive oil
- 3/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar/ drizzle of balsamic reduction

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Place the Brussels sprouts on two sheet pans lined with parchment paper, (including the loose leaves— they’ll get crispy when they're roasted). Add the pancetta, olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper, toss with your hands, and spread out in a single layer. Roast them for 30 minutes, until they're tender/browned and the pancetta is cooked. Toss once during roasting. Remove from the oven, drizzle immediately with the balsamic vinegar, and toss again. Taste for seasonings, and serve hot.

Colin and I made Pasta alla Norma last night, and JUST as we were about to serve, I dumped the entire salt shaker into the pot 😣😣😣… (note to self: always make sure your salt grinder is screwed on tightly before shaking).

But THIS half of our dinner survived! Summer caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes, balsamic drizzle, Buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil FTW. Tomatoes are officially in season and at their peak nutritional density, so go get em! 🍅

Black bean & sweet potato burger lettuce wraps on last night’s menu 🥬🍠🫘

These are sweet & spicy, loaded with fiber, plant-based protein, and healthy fats— and they come together with simple ingredients you probably already have on hand at home…

(Makes 12 patties)
- 2 cups cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
- 1 cup cooked quinoa
- 1/2 cup ground walnuts (or finely chopped)
- 1 cup rinsed and drained black beans
- 1/2 cup diced green onion
- a good dash of cumin, chipotle chile, paprika, and sea salt & pepper (I didn’t measure but based these off ’s black bean burgers if you want more structure!)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Once all ingredients are fully combined, use a lightly greased 1/4 measuring cup to scoop mixture and form tightly packed patties on baking sheet. Gently press them down to your desired thickness and bake for 30 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Remove from oven and voila!

for the win this morning 🙌🏻🍓🫐

I’ve been making these the night before work and then having them ready to go after my morning workout and starting my day. It makes SUCH a difference saving this valuable time, and they keep me full for hours. Oats and flaxseed are also great great foods to include in your diet if you’re breastfeeding to help support your milk supply (and to keep you from getting hangry). Here’s my fave overnight oats recipe as of late:

(Makes 2 servings)
- 1 cup GF rolled oats
- 1 cup almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)
- 1/2 cup non-dairy yogurt
- 1 Tbs chia seeds
- 1 Tbs ground flaxseed
- 1 Tbs maple syrup (optional)
- 1-2 scoops collagen peptides (optional)
- dash of sea salt and cinnamon

Stir all ingredients together and let sit overnight. Top with fruit, coconut flakes, nut butter, etc. the next day and you’re ready to roll 👍🏻
