Our Independent Prescribing Pharmacist Hayley is now able to offer a Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) service.
This is a FREE NHS service available to women aged 16-64 who can make an appointment to see our pharmacist who can prescribe medication if necessary to treat the condition.

We use ‘state of the art’ Tympa investigative equipment, and are qualified to remove ear wax with Micro suction technique. We can also treat minor ear infection.

🦠Cyncoed Pharmacy are offering a COVID-19 antibody testing service on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from Friday this week, for £49 per test 🦠

This test identifies if the body has developed an antibody response to COVID-19 infection. We anticipate high demand for the service and have limited availability so please call us on 02920752150 to book an appointment. Please note that the test is not a diagnostic test for COVID-19.

Read below for more information:

- The test is highly sensitive and a very reliable marker of past infection.
- The test should only be performed 21 days after recovery from COVID-19 symptoms or 28 days after contact with someone with COVID-19 symptoms.
- Your appointment will be conducted in the consultation room which will be disinfected between appointments. Suitable PPE will be worn by the pharmacist and provided to each customer.
- The test procedure will require a finger-prick sample of blood and test results will be available after 15 minutes.
- A positive test does not mean that you will have immunity, or any improved resistance should you catch the virus again. It does however confirm that you have most likely been through a cornovirus infection and built up antibodies for COVID-19.
- A positive test can provide peace of mind that you have had COVID-19 and recovered.
- The tests are CE certified by the manufacturer and the CE certificate and documentation has been reviewed by the MHRA who have authorised the test for use by Health Care Professionals only.
- The consultation and test provision costs £49.
