🌹Ah-choo! I know it’s not springtime, but a particular product of flowers - fragrances - is always in season, winter included. So here is a quick carousel about the basics of flowers and how we are in fact constantly surrounded by them (or their essence.) Yes, even in your detergents and liquid soaps🌹

Begin before you’re ready, because you never have been, never are, and never will be ⏬
Ever wondered why you could start some things so easily, yet feel like you’re trying to make an elephant take a step forward when it comes to personal development, getting help, or learning a skill that could be crucial to your career?
Your mind is the best and worst wizard of its kind. Most often, why you do or don’t do certain things is because of past perceptions, associations, and experiences. In other words, your past is constantly trying to detemine your future. Your present is not even in the picture. Talk about time-skipping!
Not to worry, you can take charge of your mind. When you find your why for wanting to begin (or to do) something, added with planning and setting up supportive environment to achieve what you want to do, you level up your chances of beginning, doing, and finishing that thinf you want to do. Ready to start?
Tell me what you want or need to start or to do but have been delaying! Let’s move forward together 💪🏼❤️

If you’re a creative and shuns numbers - OR if you’ve proclaimed yourself to be a numbers person and are convinced you’re 0% creative, you’re going to enjoy this post 🎨🧮
When it comes to creating or materialising an idea, I’ve shunned detailed planning and other nitty gritty work that makes my creative work unsexy. But it wasn’t until various mess-ups, wonky shapes, and other flops that I had no choice but to wake up and say, “ok I need the unsexy stuff.”
Mind you, I’m still a distance away from detailed planning and control testing, but I have seen myself put more thought in before any ex*****on begins. One case in point would be today’s picture. So yes, mathematics is important in art and design, kods. Never forget this.
On the opposite end, there have also been times when I get hyper-focused on a plan I’ve drawn out and lose sight of flexibility and sense of whimsy. Those projects came out stale and sterile. In this case, even structure needs a sense of humour for something to be dynamic, energetic, and engaging.
Which side do you tend to fall into? What can you bring to your tendencies to take your work to the next level? Tell me below ⬇️❤️

🧇What are Saturdays for, if not for making food that makes you smile from ear to ear?🧇
I began living on my own when I was a couple of months whort of being 17. Looking back, I could pick out cues where my mother tried masking her concern for my daily sustenance: how the hell was I going to feed myself every single day? I knew how to handle the stove and oven, but I didn’t have a cookbook in my teenage head.
It’s been 15 years since then and my culinary vocabulary has expanded multifolds since then. Somewhere along the way, true to my artistic self, I started carrying the motto, “If you love it, do it.” I love flavours. I love food. So I made myself experiment in the kitchen and learned.
There are as many ways to live as there are lives on this planet. For me, though, I firmly believe that when I know my food - from its raw form to its flavour and texture potentials, I expand my understanding and appreciation of nature working with human creativity. Humans are nothing without the land and the produce that comes out of it. Food teaches me respect and gratitude and many more lessons about life.
To those of you who have yet to find a connection with food or to find joy from spending time in the kitchen, I’d encourage you to start asking yourself the very basic questions about our produce - what makes some apples red and others green? Why do some taste sweeter than others? How do coffee beans look like on their fruit forms?
What’s your darnest question about food? 😎Share with me below ⬇️

🕯Most times you already have what you need. It just needs the right placement, that’s all🕯
Haven’t we all said this one line at some point before? “If only I got a dime for every time I see/hear/get asked XYZ, I’d be a millionaire!”
Or another classic:
“If only I worked as much as I procrastinate, I wouldn’t still be doing this sh*t today.”
Well, what if you do, in fact, just do what you wished?
We spend so much time wishing and focusing on what we don’t have instead of using what we already have in a different way that will serve us and our lives. So today, why not take stock of all our weaknesses and turn them into our assets?
Share with me one weakness of yours, and let’s see about turning it into the Swiss knife of your life, shall we? 💪🏼❤️

🖇📝Without fail, always do things your way, and here’s why...📝🖇
To follow up my previous post about using pen and paper, this is how I’ve worked best since I could remember. I was a little girl when I wanted my own flower shop (still in my bucket list btw), and I had no idea that as I was growing on into my teen years and began putting e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g down on paper, it was a valuable lesson in developing my thinking method, and therefore a crucial and valuable asset to my day-to-day tasks as a self-employed-slash-entrepreneur today.
Is writing on paper as efficient as recording it on Microsoft Word? Probably not. But does the act of writing allow the mind to speak, make connections, and create a new dance in ways that no keyboard and blinking cursor can? Abso-friggin-lutely.
In case you’re curious, in the picture is the November training plan for a client’s Intensive Communication Training. It includes plenty of games, mind-mapping, outside hour tasks, and pending awkwardsness and hilarity.
Do I consider language and communication a part of overall wellness? You bet I do.

🖋The act of writing is powerful on so many levels; on important occassions, no typing can replace it🖋
I’ve always taken pride in loving the art of writing. I also know that keeping a journal is a form of self-care and therapy. But what about recording and exploring strings of thoughts and ideas?
Don’t get me wrong. I’ve kept numerous items that I take as inspiration here on Insta and on other social media platforms. I’ve bookmarked many webpages and noted down, on my Notes app, names of authors, artists, thinkers, and doers. Yet nothing - and I mean absolutely nothing - works as well as the pen and paper when it comes to thinking out loud (outside of having a conversation with another person.)
I think it’s apt for me to use these two beautiful tools from and (both surprisingly German designs!) as I work to weave my three loves - art, running, and language - into one.
When it comes to making things happen in your life, what do you not conpromise on?

☄️What pulls you to do something? Contrary to the popular belief, the pulling motion increases your chances of achieving something than the pushing motion...☄️
Let’s face it. We humans are natural-born lazy bums. We just are. We do the bare minimum on different aspects of our lives to avoid pain (i.e. pushing motion) instead of holding ourselves to the highest standards regardless of what we see around us. Ain’t this true, folks?
Getting into high-level anything requires one secret sauce: NECESSITY. Necessity is the gravity that’ll pull you into motion and keeps you moving until you touch, taste, hear, smell, see that goal. Necessity gives you a core reason (and most often it’s got to do with your personal principles and morals, and people you care deeply about).
So ask yourself this: why do you want what you want in life? How will that goal impact or change you/ your life and the lives of the people you hold close to your heart? How will your goal contribute to your community and society?
Find your necessity, and let it be the anchor that pulls you to where you want to go.

TODAY’S CHALLENGE: make lemonade out of lemons (almost kinda sorta literally) 🍋🍊
My partner bought some blood oranges that turned out to be blah and dry. So with a splash of creativity and my prissy girl-who-refuses-to-eat-dry-oranges attitude, I made myself a pitcher of tea with pieces of the blood orange and pomegranate (which didn’t show in the video.)
No recipes here ‘cause all you need to is to make some black tea and throw in pieces of whatever fruit you know you should eat but don’t feel like eating it plain 😛
What have you done to save not-so-wanted-food? I’m dying to hear your stories below 👇🏼❤️

🧃🧃Never underestimate the power of hydration for your sports endeavours🧃🧃
I’ve been using tablets for years (even asked my former running partner to ship them over from NYC!) But moving around the globe forced me to change my running fuel (ate bananas, then dates with salt, instead of pure Gu gels). And two days ago I accidentally invented a homemade sports drink that requires only the humblest of ingredients...
How to make the sports drink:
1️⃣ In a water pitcher or saucepan, pour the water and salt in
2️⃣ Dissolve the salt
3️⃣ Immerse the apple sliced in the salted water
4️⃣ Add a bit of water in some apple slices are above the water surface
5️⃣ Let the apple soak for 30 minutes
6️⃣ Take the apple slices out - they’re great for your muesli bowl or afternoon snack - and pour the apple-infused salty water into your sports water bottle. Voila!
Yes, drinking lightly salted water will be weird at first. But trust me, when you’re on the road somewhere and running 10+kms, you’ll be thanking your homemade drink.
Love my ideas? Let me know below what more you want to learn about running, nutrition, wellbeing, and living globally ❤️
p/s: you may also want a few drops of fresh lemon juice, or just get apples that are more sour! Optinal #2: add a tiny bit of honey diluted into the water 💪🏼
