You’re not going to want to hear this…

But sometimes it’s exactly what you need

YOU are the only thing that’s standing in between your current life and the life you want to be living

Your self doubt
Your self sabatoge
Your procrastination
Your excuses
Your laziness
Your lack of prioritizing what’s important

Trust me sis, I am right here with you

I realized how much BS I was letting get in my own way

How much self doubt I had

How I didn’t think I could truly build my business the way I wanted

How what people think still affects my decisions

The funny thing most of it isn’t true, it’s a narrative we repeat to ourselves from outdated conditioning

But it’s time to stop that

Nothing changed for me until I started truly doing the deep inner work and learning how to rewire my brain

I believe it’s the only way we can live the life we live and deserve

We are more powerful and more capable than we can imagine

And it’s time that we believed it and start taking action

What version of yourself are you showing up as?

Everyday we have a choice to show up as a certain person

When I think of who I want to become and the things I want to achieve, this is often a different version of myself

Something that always stuck with me is a quote I heard

“What got you here, won’t get you there”

The habits, the beliefs, the mindset, the actions that got you to where you are today

Will not get you to where you want to be tomorrow

Which means that you will have to adopt new habits, beliefs, mindsets and take different action than you’re used to

Whether you are want to elevate your career, finances, fitness and/or health etc..

It will require a different version of you

One question I love to ask myself everyday is:

“How would my next level self show up in this situation?”

This always makes me think of how I can show up better and really embody that person

That person that takes action

That person that is confident

That person that prioritizes her dreams and goals

I encourage you to ask yourself this often

The only way we become that person is if we act as if we ALREADY are that person

I don't believe it

I don't believe that you have to struggle in your health and wellness journey

I don't believe that you have to restrict yourself from your fav foods and cut carbs

I don't believe that you have to workout 5-6 times a week doing exercises you hate

I don't believe you need to rely on caffeine for energy

These are just not things that I believe to be true

Our beliefs and narrative we have about ourselves and what we think we need to do to be "healthy" might just be one of the most important things stopping you from getting towards your goal

Once I shifted my beliefs for what was possible for me and created my own rules

EVERYTHING changed

I am now able to:

🌼 Eat whatever I want

🌼Workout as little or as much as I want

🌼 Have energy levels that sustain me throughout the day

🌼 Consistently feel amazing everyday

and I believe that it gets to be easy and fun

No it’s not because I’m special or because I’m lucky

I just built the habits and beliefs that I wanted, then was CONSISTENT

Which means you can do exactly the same for yourself

So many people I work with put so many other before themselves

Every time you say yes to someone else you say no to yourself

I myself, have fallen into this habit too, especially over the past few weeks

but I am ready to say yes to myself and put all the things I know are important

Let this be you’re reminder to say yes to yourself, even if that means saying to no others

It’s time to start living

It’s time to start embodying the person you know you can become

How many of us say we want to do some thing but it never ends up happening

“I want to eat healthier”

“I want to be more active”

And whatever else you say you desire

I’m calling myself out here too

Because I’m tired of my 💩

Tired of not living how I actually want to be

Tired of not doing the things I want to

Want to ditch food guilt this holiday season?

This is the time of year where food guilt can really creep up on us 👀

Despite all the work I do on my mindset towards food, even I still get pangs of food guilt at times

It's completely okay if it does happen because it happens to the best of us

But that being said, there is no room for food guilt here

We are here to enjoy our food guilt free and enjoy these holidays amiriteee 💃🏽

Here are some things that help me when I am experiencing food guilt that I thought I would share with you:

👉🏽I remind myself that: It is what I do most of the time, not just sometimes and on special occasions that determines my long term result

👉🏽Whenever I am eating a meal I always try to include some sort of veggies on my plate.

👉🏽I remind myself that I haven't had a meal like this in a while and it is okay to eat whatever I desire.

👉🏽I think about not only how amazing this food is, but also the whole experience. The people, the environment, the community, the love that is also being shared.

👉🏽I try my best to serve myself a little less and remind myself that I can always go back for more if I want. If I do end up putting too much on my plate, I know that I do not have to finish every single thing on my plate if I don't want to.

👉🏽When I want to go for seconds, thirds or fourths 😂 I check in with myself, how I feel and imagine how I would feel after I ate more. If I think I would feel too full or uncomfortable, I often do not go for more food.

These are just some of my thought processes that go on in my head!

Do more things that light you up and make you feel good.

Surround yourself with more people that have positive energy.

Eat food that makes you feel great.

Move your body in a way that feels good to you.

Make time for the things that add joy to your life.

Once you give yourself permission, the journey becomes easier

If you're anything like me you lovveee to eat good food 🤤

(where my fellow foodies at 👀)

Yes I value my health but I also value eating delicious scrumdillyumptious food

Who said you couldn't enjoy all your fav foods while being healthy

Let me tell you can have both baybeeee

It's time to let go of all the rules and give yourself permission

You're not meant to:

❌eat food that tastes bland AF
❌restrict your fav foods
❌cut out carbs
❌dread cooking and meal time

That doesn't sound enjoyable to me and I don't want none of that

Instead, how about we:

✅enjoy all the fav foods that we love
✅eat flavourful food that is also nutritious and balanced
✅learn how to incorporate all foods into our diet with no restrictions
✅look forward to cooking and creating a healthy relationship with food

Here's my biggest piece of advice to help you get there:

👉🏽Change the story you tell yourself.

👉🏽Give yourself permission to enjoy the foods you want.

👉🏽Know that you can create your own rules that work for you.

I used to think that eating things like cookies more often would cause me to gain weight. There is a place here that absolutely makes the BEST cookies and I get them every time go there.

I became aware of the story I was telling myself and realized that eating a few extra cookies a week means nothing. I still have all my other habits in place that support my healthy lifestyle. So your gurl enjoys those delicious cookies haha

Because I believe you should still enjoy all your fav treats as part of a healthy balanced lifestyle 🙌🏽

This can be the same for you too, You are no different from me!

Instead of worrying about how many calories are in the food you’re eating, let’s think about how the food tastes?

Instead of thinking about the exercise you’re going to have do to burn off whatever you’re eating, let’s think about how you are nourishing your body

Instead of avoiding eating foods that you enjoy, why don’t we think about the whole food experience and how you feel when eating these foods?

Let’s be more mindful
More intentional
More present

Let’s enjoy our food
Enjoy the taste
Enjoy the experience

At meal times,
When we are nourishing our bodies and when we are with others

I encourage you all to take more mindful moments when eating ❤️
