As a holistic nutritionist, I’ve been taking my prenatal nutrition very seriously! Each day I prioritize whole foods, protein, fiber and healthy fats. And hydration too!

AM
electrolytes
Blueberry tahini smoothie with whey protein (recipe in my reels!)

LUNCH
snack plate with fresh vegetables, fruit,
chicken bone broth (I love their pregnancy bundle!)

DINNER
Big salad with arugula, microgreens, shredded carrot and daikon radish, organic cheddar, apple, grilled chicken, kimchi and a homemade honey Simon dressing

BEFORE BED SNACK
cereal with banana and strawberry
Hot lemon water with a pinch of mineral salt

Herbal steam pot for pregnancy congestion 🌿

Starting this new series because my doulas are a wealth of knowledge and are teaching me so much about pregnancy, symptom management and birth
How to:
Boil a pot of water on the stove
Remove from stove
Add organic

culinary herbs like rosemary, thyme, or oregano (fresh or dried)
Optional: add organic mullein leaf if dealing with a lot of upper respiratory congestion like me 🙋🏻‍♀️
Carefully lean over the pot and inhale the steam! Cover your head with a towel to direct steam into your airways more effectively
I do this for about 5 min 1x a day

( Always consult your physician before adding in new practices, foods or supplements )

I was still recovering from a virus / cold I had over the weekend so this day had lots of immunity boosting foods and supplements!

second trimester bumps 🤍
These dang hormones are making me emotional in the third trimester 😭 I’m so happy I recorded these little videos every two(ish) weeks even when I didn’t feel like it. Sometimes it felt hard to record my ever changing body. But I’m so grateful I have these little videos and pictures. Also so amazed and grateful for my strong and healthy body making a safe, warm and nourishing home for our baby. still documenting in my third tri too 🤍

Now that I am moving and grooving through my third trimester, I thought it would be the perfect time to chat more about my prenatal care team.

I think it’s rare to find someone who finds value in both holistic and conventional paradigms especially when it comes to prenatal care.

I healed from chronic illness by combining holistic and conventional modalities. I knew pregnancy would be no different. After years of educating myself on prenatal care and birth, I knew I would feel safest and most at ease with the support and guidance of both.

- prenatal chiropractor
- prenatal acupuncturist
- holistic dietitian
- birth doulas
- conventional OBGYN

AM
electrolytes with extra trace mineral drops
breakfast toasts: semolina bread, pesto, mozzarella and eggs
Iced latte: 2/3 decaf coffee beans and coconut milk

LUNCH
Giant protein smoothie: blueberries, pineapple, farmer protein, Greek yogurt, coconut water and cucumber
Organic lemon gelato & watermelon

DINNER
Piece of semolina bread with butter and 1/2 of supplements
Pesto and mozzarella sheet pan dinner with sausage, broccoli and bell pepper
Second half of supplements

Supplements:

omegas

spring greenhouse smoothie 🌷🌱 👩🏻‍🌾

Now that the weather is getting warmer, all I want is fresh, crispy seasonal fruits and vegetables 🙌🏻 this greenhouse protein smoothie is really hitting the spot. It checks all the boxes:

- loaded with 24 grams of Farmer Protein powder
- fresh fruits and greens
- avocado for healthy fats
- coconut water for hydration

I’ll have this on repeat all season long!

The recipe:

In your blender add:
- handful of frozen green grapes
- handful of crispy curly kale
- handful of chopped cucumber
- chopped green apple
- half an avocado
- scoop of Farmer protein powder
- 1 cup of coconut water

Blend until well combined!
Pour into your favorite smoothie glass and enjoy!

30 weeks eats 🍳🥓🍵🍇🥬🥐

I love making these videos because it’s also a good reflection for me! This was a super busy day and I noticed my protein intake was lacking big time. I still managed to get fresh, whole foods in. Every day is different. Some days we can be more prepared and others we’re on the move. Every day doesn’t have to be perfect! I strive for consistency over perfection each week when it comes to my nutrition and wellness habits.
