Moon Phase: Full Moon
When 30th December 2020
Appearance: Full Moon
Action: It’s make it or break it time! Illuminate and Manifest
Key Phase Words: Results, Forgiveness and Gratitude

The full moon is the highest point in the lunar cycle. Matters will come to a head during this phase. Manifesting wishes at this time will have an increased likelihood to come true, in addition to receiving signs from your guides so keep an eye out.
People who are moon sensitive at this time of month tend to exhibit more intense emotions or behaviours. During this phase it is the time of releasing what is no longer serving you, whether this be emotional build up from events from the past cycle or an unconscious build-up of carried stresses. Most commonly noticed in animals such as the wolf and humans who have psychiatric disorders.
In addition, the full moon also affects the tides. The largest tidal range is during around Full Moon and New Moon. During these Moon phases, the gravitational forces of the Moon and the Sun combine to pull the ocean’s water in the same direction. These tides are known as spring tides or king tides.

The first quarter of the moon is the phase where you can exactly see half of the moon is illuminated in the sky. Which side is illuminated is dependent on where your located within the world.
When the moon is in the first quarter phase, it is well on its way to growing into a full moon. You may be having doubts regarding your ability to manifest your dreams or you may feel like your being tested in areas of commitment. This is the time to let go of old hurts, unfulfilled wishes, unhappy commitments and bad habits.
In turn, if your still hyped up and invested in your current goals, this is the time to double commit to them and put in the hard yards. Sometimes we need a little bump in the road to show us what is truly important to ourselves.
Don’t be surprised if issues that you put on the back burner resurface and need your immediate attention.

In modern astronomy, the New Moon is when the Sun and Moon are aligned, with the Sun and Earth on opposite sides of the Moon. This is the most exciting phase in the lunar cycle. This is when you plant the seeds of your dreams and allow them to grow through the lunar cycle and identify what you do and do not want. Meditation at this time can be really beneficial in manifesting your dreams, allowing you to tune into your higher self. This can be done by taking some time out for you and writing your wishes for the lunar cycle or drawing them.
As New Moon nights are dark, they are often the best time to view other celestial objects like planets, meteor showers, and deep sky objects such as star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies.

Look up! Jupiter and Saturn are set to align on Monday, 21 December 2020 — in an out of this world, once-in-a-lifetime event 😲✨

The Perth Observatory says the planets will be so close, they'll appear as a single bright star. 🌟

"The last time the two planets were this close was on the 16th of July 1623," they said.

You don't need a telescope to see it - just look west from 7:30pm onwards.

"It is a naked eye event as they'll nearly appear as one star but to see Jupiter, its moons and Saturn, you'll need at least binoculars or a small telescope," the Perth Observatory said.

(Please note: This is the view from the Northern Hemisphere. Being in the Southern Hemisphere the view would be the opposite, with Jupiter on the left and Saturn on the right.)

You probably use the idiom "once in a blue moon" to describe something that happens only on rare occasions. You might have even hummed along with the song "Blue Moon" by Billie Holiday.
You hear about this mysterious blue moon all the time, but do you even understand what it really is? Luckily, the meaning of a blue moon does not disappoint; it's just as enchanting as it sounds.
There are several definitions of a blue moon, but the most commonly known one is a second full moon that occurs during one calendrical month in the year.
On average, this cosmically coincidental event happens roughly every 2.7 years, so it's not exactly what I'd call "common," but it's certainly not so rare that you won't experience several of them during your lifetime. And we just so happen to have one coming up on Oct. 31, 2020 — AKA Halloween. Spooky.

Is A Blue Moon Actually Blue?

You're probably wondering if the moon will actually appear blue when it rises in the sky. Unfortunately, the color blue has nothing to do with this event in outer space and a blue moon typically looks like any other full moon: big, bright, and beautiful, but usually not so blue. (Though, apparently, the moon has appeared to be flushed in blue on a few occasions.)

What Is The Meaning Of A Blue Moon?

The blue moon on Halloween will have no astrological significance. This is because on Oct. 31, 2020, the blue moon will be calendrical rather than astrological, which is an important distinction that astrologers make. While a calendrical blue moon occurs a second time in one calendar month, an astrological blue moon is one that occurs a second time during one solar month, which is the period of time in which the sun passes through a zodiac sign. The next astrological blue moon won't occur until Aug. 22, 2021, but when that happens, it'll be a magical night.

An astrological blue moon amplifies the effect that its respective zodiac phase has. For example, the blue moon on Aug. 22, 2021 will exaggerate the characteristics of Leo, the fire sign represented by the lion, which can cause you to become more creative, dramatic, and passionate than usual. An astrological blue moon also magnifies the energy of whatever sign the moon is passing through, which, on Aug. 22, 2021, will be Aquarius. Since a full moon is symbolic of culmination, completion, and fruition, a blue moon in Aquarius will be one impressing your inner worlds with individuality, rebellion, and a concern for the world at large.

Even though the moon on Oct. 31, 2020 won't be an astrological blue moon, it'll still be a night of immense space influence and a real sight to see in the sky. Since it's on Halloween, it'll only add to the effect.

Tonight is a special night. The Moon not only full, it is also a blue moon and on all hallows eve! It is believed in many cultures that the vail between the living and the dead is at its thinnest.
People from different cultures celebrate Halloween in differing ways.
In America, the tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts.
In Mexico, the Day of the Dead (el Día de los Mu***os) Mexican holiday where families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives for a brief reunion that includes food, drink and celebration. A blend of Mesoamerican ritual, European religion and Spanish culture, the holiday is celebrated each year from October 31- November 2.
While October 31 is Halloween, November 1 is “el Dia de los Inocentes,” or the day of the children, and All Saints Day. November 2 is All Souls Day or the Day of the Dead. According to tradition, the gates of heaven are opened at midnight on October 31 and the spirits of children can rejoin their families for 24 hours. The spirits of adults can do the same on November 2.

According to Rachel Patterson, author of “Pagan Portals – Moon Magic”, “There is a belief that the Blue Moon holds the knowledge of the Crone and, therefore, all the wisdom of the Triple Goddesses combined. It is also said that the Blue Moon brings a time of heightened communication and connection with the Divine and the spirit world” (2014).
he Blue Moon serves as a reminder that even the most unlikely of events occur naturally from time to time, and absolutely nothing is out of reach. It is therefore a sure cosmic sign to never give up hope, and to hold out for the possibility of being pleasantly surprised.
