✨I attract what I want to attract. I recall my light energy as mine
and I give generously to those only ready for me and ready to receive ✨

I release people I bonded with through my trauma self and not my healing self.”

Some affirmations and reminders:
❤️your energy and your worth is YOURS.
✨Your body is YOURS.
❤️ your life is YOURS.
✨Release any guilt that it should be any more.
👑 Walk like you’re royalty

For those struggling with attachment issues:
-Let go of those that don’t serve you at this time. Maybe they’ll come back when they’re ready for you. Maybe not, but even so treat yourself like YOU are at the center of your life - prioritize yourself...it’s ok boo.

There’s a difference between having a CHOICE to say yes or no and being forced in a binary.

We are too complex to be fit into two different options

The humxn body and experience is too delectable, too magnificent

So yes - when we are forced in positions where our power is stripped away from us, do we really have choice?

Words can’t express my gratitude for y’all.

On Tuesday, 20 brown babes signed up for my bipoc only class and most of them were able to come for free because of allies donations and generosity. 🥺

It’s foreign for me to ask what I need - and I’m always surprised when I send things out into the universe and it manifests in ways I couldn’t imagine.

Do you believe in manifestation? What ways do you see that happening in your life?

Here are some of the things I spoke into the universe and...it happened.

1. Was able to cultivate space for api folks this week
2. Received $500 in donations to cover scholarships for students
3. Have met some bad ass people this week who covered my meals :)
4. Was offered an opportunity to work with a big brand
5. I’m meeting some beautiful people who have treated me like an empress
6. Reconnecting and connecting with y’all - in whatever form it looks like.

Tell me what you want to manifest the next couple days. ✌🏽

after a traumatic event it is natural to want to protect yourself.

it can be easy to second guess what your body is telling you. If it is wanting to withdraw and protect itself…lean into the body’s intuitive teachings.

If your body is feeling open to exploring, notice what allows you to feel that way.

Thomas Condon says that intuition is a lot like dreaming. We don’t know how we do it, but we do it.

Tell me below - what is your experience with boundary setting and taking care of yourself after a traumatic event?

celebrate the women and nonbinary people in your life...

tell us we are beautiful ✨
show us you love us
partner with us and also know when to let us lead
sit at our feet and learn from us
be our cheerleader
if you have privilege, go out of your way to help make space for us to shine
cherish our hearts

life is already hard enough.

I hope that in our lifetime we can undo the bond that patriarchy and capitalism has over us
..because it is hella exhausting to constantly swim upstream.

it’ll be a constant work in progress so those small actions above should also be relentless

showing you care can start to transform our culture.

This will help us to continue to swim upstream and will also hold us up when we have to take a moment to pause and wade in the water.

So tell me, how are you celebrating the women and q***r folx in ur life?

Growth

is one cell begetting it’s heir

the upturn of a social movement waking, stirring, calling

for you to come home.

Growth

is a slow
throbbing
patience

waiting for potential to be realized

your companion while you watch the sun rise

and comforts you as you witness glitter swallow the sky

you will know then

that it was worth it.

“The white fathers told us: I think, therefore I am. The black goddess within each of us - the poet - whispers in our dreams: I feel, therefore I can be free.”

I believe the practices of yoga, dance, and movement allows us to be with our emotions.

🧠 In a thought centric society, we are taught that the mind is separate from the body. We are asked to put “mind over matter” when really integrating both mind and body is essential to living and...

✊🏽Essential to be in our power
✨Essential to be free - to be our fullest selves

❓When was the last time you let yourself feel what is going on in your body prior to acting or making a decision?

What if we led our lives this way?

✨I chose this photo because for a long time I COULD NOT lift my leg up in a back bend and for a long time I could not do a back bend due to fear of re injury.

✨However, because I took the time to feel my fear around this pose as well as listened to my body, I was able to do it. Also had a great teacher help me get into this :)

I wrote this at the start of the pandemic when things felt bleak and my community was trying to make sense of what was happening in the world. This was specifically for my black, indigenous, people of color friends/broader community and family.

Sometimes we have to go through grief in order to feel something else that is beyond what we could have hoped for.

Sometimes it feels turbulent.

Sometimes there is calm.

Sometimes…it just freaking hurts.

But some day, you’ll feel your heart expand in a way that it has never before. Notice when there is even a small hint of growth and celebrate it, not expecting anything from it because before you know it, a new beginning will unfold before your eyes.

Much love to you.

+ I hope to have you for my “Body Talk” workshop series where we will be reclaiming pleasure – early bird ends 2/22. Link in bio
