Eighteen years ago my brilliant and beautiful baby girl came into the world. Watching her grow and blossom has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. I can’t wait to keep learning with and from her. I am savoring every moment of this special year and am preparing my heart for the moment when she spreads her wings and takes flight.

I’ve felt the desire to be quieter and more sparse here on Insta again. Seems to come in waves for me… the desire to embrace the fullness of my life off of this screen and not caving to the call of filling up the grid for the sake of… I don’t even know what anymore. I do love this community… I love you so very much- I even like making reels 🤣… they’re fun for me.

I just don’t enjoy how much social media is dominated by selling. I need a break from the ads and influencers trying to tell me I need something that I don’t. “Machine learning” my brain… no thank you- I’d rather take a walk. Here’s one from this week!

Each of us is a miracle. What if we remembered that (about ourselves) every day? It’s easy feel that when I look at my children. They are definitely miracles! The work I’m doing these days is learning how to feel that when I look in the mirror or catch my reflection…
I practice remembering when I first wake up and am still in that liminal space between dreams and rising. I practice remembering when I meditate and go inward. I practice remembering when I move my 52 year old body on my mat. This body that has been with me from my beginning? What if we all remembered? What a difference the world would be.

Last night. Tapas using all of my mom’s ceramics. WITH THE ARTIST HERSELF! Grateful beyond belief for this beautiful family of mine. Just waiting for one more important person- my son arrives in a few hours! Using all of my tools to stay grounded, relaxed and present for these final days of such a hard and crazy year. Dolores Park this afternoon. Not a complete visit to SF without taking in this view. Grew up around the corner… my Dad is still there.
