Struggling with Back Pain or Stiffness

❗️These exercises are suitable for most people

❗️Only try these exercises if you’re feeling well enough

❗️Please ensure you do these exercises in a safe environment

Simple Effective Exercises to Help with Back Pain:
- Complete all exercises daily
- Hold each stretch for 10-15 seconds
- If your symptoms worsen stop the exercises and seek doctors or physiotherapists advice

Back Pain?
If you experience any of the below symptoms it is important you attend A&E as this can be a medical emergency.

Cauda Equina - many patients have a combination of back pain, leg pain, leg numbness and weakness. These symptoms can be distressing for you but don't necessarily require emergency medical attention.

A RARE but SERIOUS back condition (Cauda Equina) can lead to permanent damage or disability and will need to seen by an Emergency Specialist Spinal Team.
