Now that this last week has completed, it is incredibly hard to get back to everyday life. To fly back home and immediately wake up the next day and start working again. All I can think about is this action and the victims who are involved. Not the activists, not the farm, the real victims, the thousands, if not millions of birds left behind at that facility only to be slaughtered without mercy. I can still hear the songs and chants in my head every minute of every day and I cant help but think "am I doing enough for the animals, what more can I do" I honestly just wish I could travel around full time and attend actions like this and really be a powerful voice for the voiceless. The action held on Monday June 3rd 2019 was one of the most powerful and impactful things I have ever been a part of and it has lit a fire under my ass like nothing before.

These ducks spend their entire lives on cement floors, no water to float in. This is incredibly unnatural for these animals as their legs were never designed to hold the weight of their bodies, they are essentially like a fish out of water. They end up dying on their backs with sores and lacerations, writhing in pain and agony because we have taken all their natural tendencies away from them, just to hang them by their feet and slit their necks because some people like the taste of duck.

We were there on Monday to challenge the laws that govern these establishments, to show the world the truth behind those slaughterhouse walls and to enact change that will allow us the right to rescue these sick, injured and dying babies, just like we could rescue a dog in a hot car. But currently, if we try, we are the ones arrested, we are the "enemies" and that is why we must keep this fight going and never stop until we come out on top. If those were dogs in there, what would you do? Would you pick up the fight with us, or would you sit back and turn a blind eye to yelping and crying of millions of puppies? These "farmed animals" are no different, the only difference is your perception. If you would like to watch the action unfold, head over to my highlights and watch ALC Action and then ALC Action 2 @ Petaluma, California
