Healing is a journey, not a destination. This journey is about self-discovery and growth. Along the way, we face challenges, confront our pain, and learn to embrace vulnerability. Every setback opens up an opportunity for a deeper understanding of ourselves and every small victory is a testament to our courage. Healing is about accepting ups and downs and finding peace in the process. Each step forward, we’re closer to inner peace and wholeness. Here are five steps to help you start your healing journey:

1. Self-Reflection and Acknowledgment: Take time to reflect on your experiences and acknowledge the need for healing in specific areas of your life.

2. Set Intentions and Goals: Determine what you want to achieve through your healing journey and set clear, achievable goals aligned with your values.

3. Seek Support: Surround yourself with supportive individuals, including friends, family, or mental health professionals, who can offer guidance and encouragement.

4. Engage in Healing Practices: Explore various healing modalities such as meditation, shadow work, mindfulness, and yoga to facilitate your healing process.

5. Celebrate Progress: Recognizing and celebrating milestones, no matter how small, is crucial to your healing journey. Trust in your ability to continue moving forward with each small win.

As a big personal development advocate, shadow work has been the most transformational of all the modalities I have explored.

•Examining areas I need to work on to be a better person
•Understanding the difference between my ego and intuition
•Leveraging triggering moments as growth opportunities
•Being vigilant about negative self-talk & limiting beliefs
•Becoming aware of controlling behaviors
•Shifting from a scarcity mindset
•Becoming open to receiving
•Leaving judgments behind
•Leading with compassion

What is your inner shadow?

The shadow is made up of rejected parts of ourselves are often the result of traumatic experiences.

Your shadow side can have a negative impact if ignored or rejected. This part of yourself craves to be understood and explored because it was ignored and possibly shamed throughout your life.

What is shadow work?

Working with your unconscious mind to uncover and rewire the parts of yourself that you repress and hide by developing self-awareness, self-acceptance, and compassion while acknowledging and integrating them by feeling your feelings instead of repressing them.
By accepting your shadow self, you can start to see how your thoughts and emotions influence your behavior. When you’re aware of this, you can take control and empower yourself to live life more deliberately and consciously.

As an independent woman, I’ve been told that I need to be less masculine and tap into my feminine more. Men on the other hand are not really encouraged to lean into their feminine traits to be more balanced and better partners.

The truth is masculine energy without feminine energy isn't complete.

To feel balanced, one must find find the qualities that resonate with your essence and experiences aside from society’s expectations. Consider what aspects of the sacred masculine and sacred feminine resonate with you in various areas of your life. Imbalance occurs when you focus on, or value, one type of this sacred energy over the other.

Show up as the best version of yourself by balancing the different energies within you.
