Be like Mother Nature and pour it out ā˜”ļø

I was just sitting here watching tv and it started pouring outside. Something made me walk over to the window to watch & I’m so glad I did because it was weirdly beautiful.

I watched in admiration as perfect diagonals of precipitation fell from the sky and quickly realized that it wasn’t rain at all but actually tiny pebbles of hail. That’s what was making the most glorious noise as the ice hit the ground. A magical meditative soundtrack.

And then…in the matter of 3 seconds…the pouring ceased and turned to total silence. It was one of the wildest things I ever saw. And it made me think ~ that is exactly what we need sometimes!

Let go & pour everything out. Feel all the yucky feels. The anger, the sadness, overwhelming worry, hopelessness, aimlessness, fear. Open up & release. Let it pour.

🌧🌧🌧

And then, once you’ve let it all out, you’ll be left with peace, calm, serenity. Only then can you actually move on to productive problem solving and clear decision making. Only then can you go after the changes that you seek.

Do you agree? Save this post for a rainy day šŸ™

A year ago, I lost one of the greatest people I will ever know in this lifetime, my pap. šŸ‘¼

Pap was an only child and his parents were divorced, but all he ever wanted was a big family. So he found the most amazing woman out there (the Gram), he courted her with chivalry and a very large teddy bear, they became best friends and eventually husband & wife. 5 kids, 7 grandkids, and 2 great-grandkids later...his dream of having that big family was finally a reality.

Take it from Pap ~ choose the life you want to live. You are not a slave to your circumstances and so much more is in your power than you allow yourself to believe.

What is one thing you desperately want in this lifetime? Drop it in the comments below & put it out into the universe! Start manifesting right NOW. šŸ™Œ

After 16 years of chronic illness, I have made the decision to be healthy. I don't want to live a life of struggle and constant uphill battles, so I'm not going to. If you think that's not something I'm allowed to just choose, you're wrong. I only just changed my mindset last week, and I'm already seeing BIG changes. Still don't believe me? Thank you Pap for showing me that life is what you choose. You chose God, family, laughter, love, and of course the black & gold. My life is brighter because of you. I miss you so much

I’ve been going through a lot lately, trying to keep everything to myself as I navigate these rough waters and work through my feelings. Getting back to writing again has helped…

But I almost didn’t post this. I’ve been sitting on it for a couple of weeks while I battled through a nasty virus. I’m trying to venture out into a new chapter in my life though ~ one where I stop thinking myself out of trying and just do!

If you’ve ever struggled with truly loving and accepting yourself, chronic illness or not, this one’s for you. As always, I genuinely appreciate the support by sharing this with your friends. šŸ’™āœŒļø

How self-love with chronic illness ebbs and flows, and why it's so important to know your worth before entering a relationship.

I’ve been putting so much pressure on myself to figure out my entire life right this second.

I took the last year off after losing my beloved dance teacher job from 2020 happenings. My body needed time to rest and recover. I needed to focus on my health and dig deep for answers and assistance. Even though it was overwhelming at times, I’m pleased to say that I added so many new tools to my toolbox. But now that I’m ready to move on to the next project, it seems I’ve run out of patience.

I’m trying to take one giant leap from the starting line to the finish line without actually running the race. I want to have the perfect career, the perfect relationship, the perfect social life, all whilst still taking pristine care of my body & mind. Who do I think I am?

It’s time to give myself a break. I’m going to figure everything out just like I always do, but it’s going to take some time. This is a journey. I’m going to experience some more waves on the way 🌊 and that’s okay!

And you’re going to figure it out too šŸ’™

Everything will fall into place, friend šŸ’™ Keep. Going.

This is my quote!

As cool as it was to see my words being used as clickbait for an article that is desperately needed for the endometriosis community, I was feeling an entirely different emotion when I read through the comments and realized how similar my story is to so many others. To think of 9, 10, 11 year old girls dealing with such agonizing pain on top of a totally new and sometimes awkward bodily experience is heartbreaking. I so wish that someday, no little girl has to go through this traumatizing experience ever again.ā£ļø

Scary accurate. I’ve had to fight with my insurance company multiple times for my thyroid medication. Even after having prior authorization for a higher dose, I had to fight with them again when it was LOWERED. The woman I spoke with on the phone was even surprised it was an issue. It’s quite annoying šŸ™„

The prior authorization hassle. šŸ˜’

Wow this could’ve been written about me (minus the horses).

I think I’m ready to try therapy for the first time on this journey - a new way of taking care of my health. I’ve learned over this last year that I’m overwhelmed by life because living with a chronic illness is a full-time job with a fraction of the energy, the added stress paralyzes me, and I literally just don’t know how to function because if it’s not my best, what’s the point?

Gotta start somewhere šŸ„ā€ā™€ļø here we go

"The 'do it all myself' mentality is praised by society as a strong work ethic and tenacious independence.

But it’s actually a habit born from trauma and feeling unworthy. Symptoms include workaholism, perfectionism, and a need to control and plan. Other signs include heavy guilt, overspending time on anything not considered 'productive,' restlessness when still, and an addiction to the adrenaline of busyness.

I know because I’m a work in progress here. Just when I think I’ve resolved it in one area of my life, it pops up in another."
