Did you know that apple’s skin is a much bigger deal than the apple itself? When you eat the whole apple, you consume a good amount of insoluble fibre and a big amount of a particular soluble fibre called pectin. Pectin has a lot of health benefits and plays a vital role in the prevention and treatment of many diseases. It's also essential for skin health as it helps to detox heavy metals and maintains bowel health. While pectin is found in both the skin and the flesh of an apple, its highest concentrations are in the skin. That's why you should avoid peeling off the apple’s skin if you want to get everything it has to offer.

However, it's crucial to soak your fruit in baking soda solution before eating to make sure to get rid of the wax and pesticides residues. Just mix one teaspoon of soda in two cups of water, and then leave to soak for 15 minutes, rinse thoroughly and you are good to go! @ Ibiza, Spain

The weekend is here, who is staying in? 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️ Take advantage of the situation, cancel all the insignificant plans, take a deep breath and enjoy just being! Your immune system needs all the support you could give it right now, so rest, eat healthily and stay hydrated. Here is a list of some immune-boosting foods that can help you to stay strong and healthy:

💙Eat blueberries. They contain flavonoids that have strong antioxidant properties and help to boost the immune system.

🧡Incorporate turmeric into your cooking. Curcumin is the active ingredient in turmeric, which lowers inflammation and has strong antioxidant properties. To help your body to absorb it better, make sure to pair it with black pepper.

💚Add spinach into your smoothies. It’s full of nutrients and antioxidants like flavonoids, carotenoids, Vitamins C & E.

BRAIN FOOD SNACKS • Whenever I’m writing or studying something I like to have my snacks close to me. The right choice of snacks can help you to boost your memory and productivity. Plus snacking always makes the brainstorming process more enjoyable, you just have to do it right!

🍓 Fresh berries enhance brain function and prevent age-related memory loss. If you can't have fresh berries, then try dry cranberries which help to improve memory and coordination.
🥭 Mangoes contain Vitamin B-6 which plays important role in the synthesis of serotonin and dopamine in the brain.
🍌 Bananas rich in potassium and magnesium which help to sharpen the brain’s focus.
🍫 Dark chocolate helps with brain function by improving blood flow to the brain and by boosting the production of endorphins.
🥜 The brain loves nuts, especially walnuts as they have a high concentration of the nourishing Omega-3 fatty acid.
