Sunday can also be used by the board to have a mini retreat or work session.

There are various temperatures to enjoy, including hot-cold, vapour cave, showers (newly remodeled dressing rooms). Also a fun slide inside!

Hot Springs State Park There is no fee for using the Bath House; The hot mineral water is maintained at 104 degrees Fahrenheit to provide the safest healing water possible

Days Inn: The convention center has one central soaking pool, hot/warm to cool on the end. Included in your lodging at Days Inn.

10 sleeping rooms under the “American Massage Therapy Association” blocked @ $86.70 per room per night plus tax with individuals paying on their own. The block is set for Friday April 24th, 2015 and Saturday April 25, 2015. Please note, you must call prior to April 10, 2015 in order to receive the discounted room rate. If you call after this date, you will be required to pay the normal room rate of $104.00 per room per night plus tax.

Muscle-Specific Deep Tissue Techniques for the Paraspinal Muscles of the Back
In this class we will focus on some muscle-specific Deep Tissue techniques for the Paraspinals (erector spinae and transversospinalis) that are different from but complementary to what you learned in massage school or elsewhere. The emphasis will be on releasing and unbinding the erector spinae group, the transversospinalis group, the lumbodorsal fascia, and the quadratus lumborum. These are straightforward, muscle-specific techniques that will improve the precision and effectiveness of your back massage, and they can be immediately applied in practice. Body mechanics will be a focus throughout the day, as well as proper use of elbows, fingers and knuckles to save wear and tear on joints. Students who have taken this class have reported that they were able to integrate the techniques into their practices right away and that their clients loved the results, feeling a newfound sense of freedom and ease in their backs.
