Off to Italy we go hosted by ICCO Canada 🇮🇹 part of the project.

We headed off to majestic in Mount Etna on the Island of Sicily to taste organic Italian wines from the Region of ETNA.

This region is known for the highest, largest and most active volcano in Europe and that means the soil is rich, the vineyards high and the energy of a microclimate is all part of what makes these wines memorable.

We tasted two wines from

🍷 2018 Outis Etna Bianco DOC
Azienda Agricola Biondi
Certified organic

🍷 2018 Etna Rosso DOC
Azienda Agricola Graci
Certified organic

How do you grill shrimp on a very hot charcoal bbq? 🍤
Quickly!
When the grill is ready, use long handled tongs to put the shrimps on the cooking grates arranging them across the greats so they don’t fall through. Turn halfway through cooking until the shrimp curl and become pink, about two or three minutes per side for sweet, intense and slightly charred shrimp.

Thank you for the wine tasting hosted by ICCO Canada 🇮🇹 part of the project.

We swirled, sniffed and sipped two incredible wines from Southern Italy 🍷 and nibbled on a Mezzo E Mezzo platter filled with all things delicious from .to 🧀 with Prosciutto Crudo di Parma DOP, Soppressata Piccante, Grana Padano DOP, Fior Di Latte, olives and in-house made Focaccia Barese. 🫒

🍷 2017 Primitivo IGT Salento, Carvina
