How I found the love of my life.
When my last relationship ended, I knew I needed to take time to be on my own. My goal was to get to the root of my patterns in relationships so that I could put an end to this painful cycle. And so, I intentionally stayed single and began mentoring myself through what became the most profound experience of my life thus far.
For almost two years, I sat every morning in meditation and Tea Ceremony, which provided the quiet space to compassionately listen to the part of Self that had carried the pain of past relationships.
As I listened to my inner Self, I began to hear the unedited, vulnerable, and highly emotional story about her experience within relationship and family dynamics. I stood lovingly by her side and let her know that her story and feelings we valid and valuable, and I encouraged her to keep feeling and sharing.
And then, one day, something beautiful happened, like a fever breaking at its peak.
All the pain flushed away, and all that remained was the love and compassion I had cultivated within me, and I experienced firsthand what it felt like to love and be loved unconditionally.
From this experience, I know I'm the bringer of love, acceptance, and belonging I've been seeking. And this loving relationship with Self has allowed me to show up with a whole new capacity to love others unconditionally.
The message is simple. The love of your life isn't found within someone else; it's within YOU, and once you access that precious love, you can share it and build upon it with others.
