Brian and I are SUPER excited to announce our next big adventure, and you’re invited. Join us on a private catamaran sailing yacht in the beautiful Abaco Islands — known as the “Boating Capital of the Bahamas.” With calm, turquoise waters and gentle breezes, this is sailing at its best.

Brian has spent almost every summer in the Abaco Islands, since he was a toddler, so he knows this area like it’s his backyard (including the best snorkeling and anchoring spots).

We’ll be exploring charming colonial towns, snorkeling vibrant coral reefs, and discovering hidden beaches only accessible by boat. The Abacos, a chain of islands and cays that spans 120 miles, are famous for their laid-back vibe, colorful New England-style cottages, and friendly locals. We can swim, scuba dive, snorkel, kayak, paddleboard, fish, or simply relax on deck with a tropical drink in hand. No matter where you are, the views can’t be beat.

We’ll be sailing aboard a beautiful 4-cabin Bali Catamaran, with your own private cabin and ensuite bathroom — and a private captain (by day) to take care of the sailing so we can simply relax and enjoy.

Think: morning coffee with ocean views, afternoons frolicking in the bluest water you’ve ever seen, exploring quiet islands, and evenings watching the sunset from the water.

We’ve always loved visiting the Bahamas in June and July. It’s after the busiest tourist months, so things are quieter, but before hurricane season is in full swing.

In our opinion, this is the perfect time to visit — warm, sunny days, calm seas, and the clearest, bluest water of the year. It’s when the Abacos truly shine!

If you’ve been dreaming of a tropical getaway that’s equal parts adventure and pure relaxation, this is it. Come sail, swim, and soak up paradise with us. 🌊💙

The dates are June 25 - July 2nd.

There are currently 3 cabins available, but we expect those to go quickly.

Let me know if you want more info. Or visit International Yoga Travel.

Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday yesterday! 💛
It was such a beautiful day, and I’m feeling so blessed and grateful.

Just days ago, we returned from an incredible adventure in French Polynesia — exploring Tahiti, Moorea, Raiatea, Tahaa, Bora Bora, and Huahine.

We swam with humpback whales in Moorea and later snorkeled with blacktip sharks and stingrays in Bora Bora. We snorkeled often, feasted on fresh fish (especially my favorite, Poisson Cru — raw tuna marinated in coconut milk and lime juice), and soaked in the mana of the islands.

While there, Brian and I took another step toward a longtime dream — we signed up for international sailing training! Once we’re certified and have some experience under our belts, we’ll be able to charter sailboats around the world — from Thailand and Greece to Croatia, the Seychelles, Belize, and beyond.

Now we just need more time on the water (anyone need sailing buddies?). ⛵

Who knows what the future holds — but it never hurts to dream big! 🌴✨

The ship for our Douro Valley River cruise next October (2026) has been sold out, but I just discovered that two staterooms have opened up! This particular river, which will take us through Portugal and into Spain, is a favorite amongst river cruisers, which is why it sells out so far in advance. If you’ve ever wanted to experience a river cruise or have considered joining us on one of ours, this is a good time to do so. DM me for details.

One morning while camping, I noticed several dozen ants had fallen into a five-liter bottle of water left open overnight. They writhed in the clear water, and I thought they were drowning each other to survive. The thought repulsed me, and I turned away.

Two hours later, curiosity made me look again — and I was stunned. The ants had formed a living island, a pyramid. Some supported others from below, taking turns submerging and then coming up to rest. No one tried to save themselves first. They moved with calm coordination, each one taking the hardest place when it was their turn.

I fetched a spoon and gently lowered it in. The ants climbed out one by one without panic. Then one, weakened, slipped back into the water.

And then I saw it. The last ant, almost free, turned back. It climbed down toward the drowning one as if to say, “Hold on, I won’t leave you.” It grabbed him, but couldn’t lift him alone. I lowered the spoon again, and they both came out together — alive.

I was speechless. First for having judged them as selfish. Then for their discipline, their resilience, their sacrifice.

If ants, so small, can live with such unity and selflessness… why do we humans so often ignore those in need? Why do we build walls instead of living bridges?

That morning I learned something: true strength is in unity. And if we’ve forgotten how to live like that, maybe it’s time we learned from the ants.

Wow…so powerful.

After spending 178 days aboard the International Space Station, astronaut Ron Garan returned not just with scientific data but with a revelation he calls “the big lie.” Orbiting high above Earth, Garan was awestruck by the planet’s natural wonders auroras swirling like living brushstrokes, and lightning storms flashing like camera bulbs on a global scale. But what struck him most was the paper-thin layer of atmosphere enveloping the planet a fragile, shimmering veil standing between all life and the void of space. In that moment, the Earth seemed both resilient and heartbreakingly vulnerable.
From his unique vantage point, Garan saw a planet with no borders, no political lines only one interconnected home. But on the ground, humanity continues to divide and exploit. He came to a stark realization: the world’s systems are upside down. Our economy treats the Earth as a disposable resource, a subsidiary of profit. To him, this illusion is the “big lie” the belief that growth should come before sustainability. Garan insists the correct hierarchy must be planet → society → economy a realignment that recognizes Earth’s survival as the foundation of all progress.
This isn’t a poetic abstraction it’s a practical warning. Garan’s space-borne epiphany compels us to rethink how we build policy, design infrastructure, and relate to nature. If our atmosphere so breathtakingly thin is compromised, so is everything beneath it. From this celestial vantage, the urgency of Earth’s challenges becomes undeniable. Whether it’s climate change, resource depletion, or social inequality, every crisis is linked to our failure to prioritize the planet first.
Ron Garan’s message, delivered with the quiet gravity of someone who’s actually seen our world from the outside, is a plea for awareness and action. He reminds us that we live on “a paradise in the cosmos” a world that is incredibly rare, unimaginably beautiful, and desperately in need of our care.

My mom told me something recently that completely floored me.

She said that moments after I was born, she had a near-death experience. She was moving toward a white light, and only turned back when she heard people calling her name. When she came to, the doctors were hovering over her with fear in their eyes. Later, they told my dad they almost lost her.

I was stunned. At that moment, it hit me that I came within a single breath of living a completely different life, one where I would never have known my mother. One where my younger brother may never have been born.

How did I not know this?

During her recent visit, when she came to help me while I was recovering from foot surgery, I pulled out a little book I had picked up: “Mom, Tell Me Your Story.” We’d flip through the prompts together, and I’d ask questions about her childhood, her dreams, her life. Sometimes it even led to stories about my dad.

That’s how I learned that my father, Victor, was named after an uncle on his mother’s side—a World War II pilot whose plane went down and was never recovered.

Another thing I never knew.

I enjoyed this time with my mom. I’m not sure we’ve ever had that much one-on-one alone time to simply be with each other like that. It was such a blessing.

All of it got me thinking about how delicate and mysterious life is. How one single moment—like my mom hearing her name called—can shift everything.

It reminded me of the movie Sliding Doors, where everything changes based on whether or not Gwyneth Paltrow’s character makes it onto a train. Just one second difference—and her whole life takes a different turn.

Kind of like those “Choose Your Own Adventure” books we read as kids.

We may not control everything life throws our way, but we do have a say in how we respond. And in that way, our choices shape our reality.

Still, there’s always this other force at play—something bigger than us. Whether you call it God, Spirit, the Universe, or simply the Great Mystery, it’s a reminder that life isn’t happening to us…it’s happening through us.

What are you currently co-creating with Life?

By the way, there’s still time to join us this October on our Dreams of Tahiti cruise through the islands of French Polynesia—Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea, Huahine, and more. We’ll be sailing through turquoise lagoons, snorkeling with reef fish, sea turtles, manta rays, and possibly even dolphins and humpback whales. (We snorkeled with manta rays in the Komodo Islands once, and it was unforgettable.) Tahiti is also a dream for scuba divers.

And next October’s Douro River Valley Cruise—sailing through Portugal and into Spain—is almost full. This is a guest favorite, and the smaller ship size (just 102 guests) makes it feel especially intimate. As of yesterday, there were only five staterooms left on the ship.

Here’s what past travelers had to say about the Douro:

“The Douro was the prettiest to navigate of the five river cruises we’ve been on.”
“The Douro River is absolutely breathtaking.”
“Portugal is lovely and sailing through the gorge was spectacular.”
“It was magnificent.”
“LOVED IT!”
