Spring is going by so quickly! We are working extremely hard on getting our massive garden put in. We are going as fast as we can and growing whatever we can to at least fill out pantry for the rest of this. It’s so difficult getting such a late start to the year, but we’re making it happen 🙌🏽😅

Goodbye April, hello May 🤍

This one feels a little different.

April stretched us in ways we didn’t expect, and while we didn’t get everything done that we had planned, we’re stepping into this new month with grateful hearts and a fresh perspective.

May is a chance to start again… to keep building, planting, and dreaming—even if it’s a little slower than we thought it would be. The garden is going in, trees are being planted, the barn is slowly coming together, and we’re finding our rhythm again one day at a time.

We’re holding onto the truth that even in the hard or unexpected moments, beautiful things are still on their way 🌿

Here’s to new beginnings, steady progress, and trusting God.

🌻 Goodbye Summer, You Were One for the Books 🌻
we say farewell to summer, I can’t help but feel a mix of gratitude, excitement, and a little bit of sadness for how quickly the season flew by. This year brought so many big changes and unforgettable memories for our family.

💛We settled into our new 2-acre little slice of paradise, complete with a barn and just minutes from town. It already feels like home. We spent countless evenings outside, soaking in the peace, dreaming about fence lines, gardens, and all the projects still to come. 🌾🏡We made new friends who invited us onto their boat to watch the boat races for the very first time (absolutely incredible!) we even brought our paddle boards for a little extra fun on the river. 🚤☀️

Those were the kind of days you never want to end. We also welcomed new furry and feathery additions to the homestead — the start of a whole new chapter and adventure. 🐣🐑🦆

And in the middle of all this joy, we had to say goodbye to our sweet boy, Tiger. After nearly 14 years of loving us fiercely, he crossed the rainbow bridge. Our hearts broke, but we’re so grateful for every moment we got with him. 💔🐾

To top it all off, our “baby” turned 18 and started her senior year of high school. I’m still trying to figure out how that’s even possible. 🎓💛

Summer, you gave us new beginnings, bittersweet endings, and memories we’ll carry forever. Here’s to fall and all the beauty and change it will bring. 🍂🧡

Kelley has been going on and on about jumping spiders. We caught one (Chief), but unfortunately he died not too long after we got him. He’s been wanting to catch another, but I haven’t been crazy about the idea. I mean, has anyone else seen Arachnophobia? 😳😰😅 As I was walking past the dining room table, I saw this little guy and tried to tell Kelley Gene to take him outside. And of course he had to let the little guy run around and tried to convince me he wouldn’t get on my hand… one thing led to another and we found out the spider actually preferres me 🤦‍♀️😅… I named him Spot and now I’m obsessed. He now lives in our poinsettia 😒😆
