Kasen’s Medical Journey Kasen is 15 and loves being a football manager at his highschool. He received his miracle heart on 11/4/24.💙🫀

Our world turned upside down on 11/3/23 when he was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy (heart failure) and Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy.

A heartbreaking message from an Alabama teenager is making its way across social media tonight.

Will Roberts is fighting osteosarcoma - an aggressive bone cancer — and after 16 months of treatment, he says the options are running out.

In a video (shared in comments below) Will speaks directly to anyone willing to listen. He’s asking people to share his story and tag Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in hopes of getting their attention.

His family has identified a treatment — DeltaRex-G — that could offer a chance, but they say the cost is overwhelming.

Will’s message is simple and powerful: he wants a chance to live.

If you feel moved, take a moment to share his story and help it reach someone who can make a difference.

UPDATE:

Kase had labs done last week and everything looked great!! 🙌 The CMV finally came back undetected. ♥️ With such great labs and his immunosuppression being where it needs to be they don’t need labs again until his Boston visit on June 30th. You can imagine how excited Kase is as he has been going every two weeks. He is thriving and he is almost as tall as me now. Doctors are very happy with his progress. He has been playing basketball with his cousin and just enjoying being a kid something that was so hard to do when he was so sick. Can you believe he is approaching having his new heart for 1.5 years…crazy right!! But we are so blessed to have such a brave, courageous, resilient, respectful, and caring kid. He has been through so much and he just appreciates the life he has been given. Yes can he be a stubborn, opinionated kid 💯 but we will take it. He’s a teen and he’s just learning and discovering his own way. We continue to thank God, and thank his donor for this beautiful gift of life. 🫀🫶🙏

Update on Kase:

Kase is doing great!! His recent labs looked so good- the CMV virus keeps showing up in his labs. But he is feeling good which is the most important thing. He goes back for repeat labs Monday to check his immunosuppression levels. But we are so happy on where he is today. Our heart warrior, our strong and resilient young man. Oh and his progress report came out and he has all A’s and B’s. He is thriving and he is happy. Keep it up Kase. We are all here with you!!

Good morning-

UPDATE from Kase’s Boston visit:

All labs were great, slight dosage increase on his immunosuppression medications due to his low levels. His echo and ekg showed that his heart is strong and doing so great!! ♥️♥️

Boston just called with his Allosure rejection results- levels showed no rejection. 🙌🙌 God is so good! 🙏🙏

We are blessed and so incredibly grateful for Kase’s great team of nurses and doctors, and also for his donor and family. Thank you again and I will say this over and over- God bless you for giving our son the gift of life. ♥️🫀🫶

Sooo much love,

Kasen Strong 💪 💙🙏

Up early and the weather here in Boston is supposed to be in the 60’s. ☀️

Kase labs looked great from last week just waiting on the doctor to look at one of his immunosuppression results.

But today we head to see Dr. Williams for his 3/4 month check up, which includes ekg, echo, and labs. He will finally have his Allosure test as well today 🙌

Please send your love and positive thoughts and prayers to our heart warrior. 🙏💙🙏

So much love to you all! 💙

Up at 5 am to head for labs, rechecking his immunosuppression levels as they were pretty low the last time. Added on CMV and his normal checks. We head for Boston on Sunday for his appointment on Monday. They will do the Allosure test then to check for rejection. A home service was supposed to come Saturday to do this but they never showed up- super annoying as this test is so important. But we will be in the best hands at B*H. ♥️

Updates will come soon. Much love- your heart warrior.

Update-

Kase’s Boston visit was cancelled due to the storm that was inbound on Sunday- Tuesday. He is scheduled to go back on Monday March 9th.

His local labs came back with his new immunosuppressant med being very low so we increased the dosing at night. His creatinine and BUN levels are still high but hoping over time these will get better.

Because the appointment is postponed they will be sending someone to the house to do the Allosure (rejection test) as well as all of his labs.

He is pretty much over his cold which is great!! Thank you for your love and prayers. 💙🙏💙

Kasen Strong 🙏💙🙏… never give up- keep on believing and you will go so far. We love you!!

Early morning labs for Kase- empty waiting room so why not make it a bed 🤦‍♀️.

His is now off of his Tacrolimus immunosuppressant and on his new one, which started Monday. The labs today will show what his levels look like along with his normal bloodwork.

Also, please keep Kase in your prayers and thoughts- he is home sick today- with fatigue, cough, headache and runny nose. When he gets like this he has a cough assist machine at home which helps him get rid of all the junk so it doesn’t settle in his chest. He also has other therapies we use. We know he is so strong and is a fighter, but let’s send him some extra love while he fights this sickness. Thank you and God bless. 💙🙏💙
