Last month in Dallas, Addus hosted 62 of our leaders from across the country at Ignite 11, our largest leadership conference in company history. Ignite 11 was a three-day event that brought together all Addus divisions to collaborate as one, exploring how to lead ourselves, our teams, and our business.

Ignite 11 featured leadership conversations with our President and COO, Heather Dixon, as well as an interactive panel with our Operational Presidents, Ryan Noth and Travis Bl**er. Following the general sessions, divisions participated in breakout meetings to dive deeper into key topics and discussions focused on advancing our mission and growing our business.

We also enjoyed an incredible networking event at COSM, where we shared meals, stories, and laughter during an immersive show inside the video dome.

One highlight of the conference was our AddusCARES philanthropy event, where we put together 500 “bye-bye” bags for our friends at Vogel Alcove. Vogel Alcove has an inspiring mission to help young children and their families prevent and overcome the traumatic effects of homelessness and poverty, and we were honored to support that work.

More than just a meeting, Ignite 11 was an investment in our collective future. We explored our company vision, set ambitious new goals, and aligned on the strategic plans that will carry us forward. Our leaders left Texas with a renewed sense of purpose and a sharpened focus on the Addus HomeCare mission: providing high quality, cost-effective care that gives our clients the freedom to remain in their homes.

Looking Ahead: Ignite 12
While we are still building on the momentum from Dallas, the work continues. We are already preparing for Ignite 12, returning to Chicago in August. We look forward to bringing our leaders together again in the Windy City later this summer.

We’re proud to highlight Personal Care Aide Robin Garrett, named Employee of the Month for our Melbourne, AR office, after a routine visit turned into a lifesaving moment.

What began as a typical visit quickly changed when Robin recognized that something wasn’t right. Upon entering the home, she saw that her client seemed to be in serious distress. Trusting her instincts, she immediately called for emergency medical help. Her quick action ultimately saved her client’s life.

But Robin didn’t stop there. When her client returned home from the hospital, she checked in right away and even volunteered her time over the weekend to make sure the client felt safe, supported, and cared for.

Her client said it best: “Robin saved me; she is my angel.”

Personal Care Aides like Robin do more than just support daily needs. They show compassion, offer presence, and in critical moments, save lives. We are proud to celebrate Robin and the meaningful difference she and all our Personal Care Aides make every single day. 💙
