🔐🧠 ESCAPE ROOM CHALLENGE COMPLETED! 🗝️🎉

Today, one of our awesome participants took on the ultimate brain-busting adventure at Red Lock Escape Rooms Brisbane located at North Lakes ... and absolutely smashed it! 💥🕵️‍♂️

With the help of their support worker, they cracked clues, unlocked secrets, and laughed their way through the twists and turns of the puzzle-filled experience. It was teamwork, creativity, and fun all rolled into one epic afternoon! 🧩💡

At Whanau Care, we love creating opportunities that help build confidence, problem-solving skills, and lasting memories — and today’s outing was exactly that.

Big thanks to the amazing team at Red Lock for being so welcoming and creating such an inclusive, exciting space! 🙌❤️

🌪️ Weathering the Storm Together – Now Back to Community Life! 🌿

Now that the cyclone has passed, Whanau Care Support Services is grateful to see brighter days ahead! We hope everyone is safe and recovering well. 💙

In preparation for the storm, we ensured all our participants were ready and supported. During the worst of it, we spent time with families, providing not just essentials but also fun activities to keep the little ones engaged and distracted through the rough weather. 🎨📚🎲

With clear skies returning, we’re excited to get our participants back out into the community, reconnecting and enjoying their regular activities once again. 🌞🌿

⚠️ Weather Update – Stay Safe, Whānau ⚠️

Kia ora Whānau,

We’re keeping a close eye on the weather, with forecasts predicting possible landfall late Thursday night or early Friday morning. Our priority is always the safety and well-being of our participants, staff, and community.

At this stage, Thursday shifts will go ahead as planned, but we will continue to monitor conditions closely. If the weather worsens and shifts need to be canceled for safety reasons, we will personally contact affected participants and staff.

We encourage everyone to be prepared for potential power outages and take precautions where needed. If you require sandbags, you can find local collection points here: https://www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/Services/Disaster-Management/Sandbags

We know that severe weather can be challenging, but remember—we’re all in this together. If you need support or just someone to check in, please reach out. We’ll continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.

🌟 Whanau Care Support Services Update! 🌟

We've had some exciting adventures lately with our amazing participants! 🚀

🌳 Trip to South Bank Parklands – Our crew enjoyed a beautiful day out at South Bank, soaking up the sun, exploring the lush parklands, and sharing lots of laughter and smiles. It was a fantastic day to connect with nature and each other! ☀️🌸

🚴 BMX Track Fun – We also hit up the local BMX track where participants had a blast riding, cheering each other on, and building confidence on the track. It was an action-packed day filled with energy and encouragement! 🙌💪

We love creating opportunities for our participants to engage in the community, have fun, and build lasting memories. Stay tuned for more adventures ahead! ❤️

🎣🏀🎳🐐 A Week of Fun with Whanau Care Support Services! 🐐🎳🏀🎣

It’s been an action-packed week at Whanau Care Support Services, filled with laughter, adventure, and great company! Here’s what we got up to:

🎣 Fishing Fun – Enjoying the fresh air, casting lines, and celebrating every catch (or just the peaceful moments by the water!).

🏀 Basketball Games – Shooting hoops, building skills, and having some friendly competition on the court.

🎳 Bowling Excitement – Strikes, spares, and plenty of cheers as we knocked down the pins!

🐐 White Ridge Farm Visit – Meeting the animals, feeding the friendly farm residents, and enjoying a fun day outdoors.

We love seeing our participants get out, stay active, and create amazing memories together. Huge thanks to our incredible team for making these moments possible!
