Come experience the "Community Puzzle Piece Mural" and multi-media Artwork now on display at WholeHeart Collective Gallery, through Friday, June 12th,2026. A powerful collaborative artwork created through 4 workshops, "Connection Through Art: Community Workshops", a collaboration with MAHUBE-OTWA and WholeHeart Collective with lead artist, Naomi RaMona Schliesman.
The community mural is made up of individually designed puzzle pieces created by community members of all ages and backgrounds. Each piece reflects a person’s creativity, story, identity, and place within the community. Together, the pieces form a larger mural that symbolizes connection, belonging, and the importance of every individual in shaping the caring and creative community we share together.
What makes this project so special is not only the artwork itself, but the relationships, conversations, friendships, and intergenerational connections that were built throughout the workshops. Through artmaking, storytelling, laughter, and shared creative experiences, participants came together across ages and backgrounds to create something meaningful collectively.
This exhibition is a beautiful reminder that art has the power to bring people together, foster healing and joy, create belonging, and strengthen community connections. Every Art piece tells a story, and together they reflect the magic of collaboration, compassion, and shared humanity.
We invite the community to stop by WholeHeart Collective Gallery to experience the mural, celebrate the artists and participants who contributed, and witness how creativity can strengthen connection throughout our region.
"Connection Through Art: Community Workshops" is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts through Springboard for the Arts’ Artists Respond: Weaving Social Connections program in collaboration with MAHUBE-OTWA Community Action Partnership, Inc. and WholeHeart Collective.
At the heart of this project is a shared belief in the power of art, conversation, and community to create connection, belonging, and care for one another.
