By 2030, it’s projected to become the #1 cancer killer under 50.

Unlike older adults, where rates are falling, something is uniquely disrupting younger guts.

Only 5–10% of colon cancers are genetic.

The rest trace back to diet, lifestyle, and the microbiome.

Processed foods, sugar, alcohol, antibiotics, and low fiber diets starve protective microbes while feeding cancer-linked species like Fusobacterium nucleatum, often found inside tumors.

This message might feel harsh… but it’s the truth many people eventually face.

Highly processed foods may seem convenient and inexpensive in the moment, but over time they often come with a much higher cost—inflammation, chronic disease, fatigue, digestive issues, and expensive medical care.

Our bodies were never designed to thrive on foods filled with refined sugars, excess oils, preservatives, dyes, and long lists of artificial ingredients.

Real health begins when we return to what nature intended:
🌱 Whole plant foods.

Fruits, vegetables, beans, lentils, whole grains, nuts, and seeds provide the fiber, antioxidants, and nutrients our bodies need to function properly and protect us from disease.

One simple step you can start today:

📖 Read ingredient labels.
If the ingredient list is long and full of words you don’t recognize, it’s likely ultra-processed. The closer food is to its natural form, the better it is for your body.

Food can either fuel health or feed disease.

80% of chronic disease is related to diet & lifestyle.💯

Heart disease & obesity “run” in my family.
Why??
Coz of the animal flesh & “products” laden diet of those within my family.
Recipes passed down through the years.

This is fact.

When focusing on reversal - and disease prevention- Lifestyle Medicine Physicians such as Dr Neil Barnard, Dr Michael Gregor, Dr Caldwell Esselstyn, Dr T Colin Campbell, Dr Milton Mills, Dr Michael Klapper, and many more, prescribe a transition to a Whole Foods plant-based diet plus lifestyle changes.💚

These changes revolve around movement, sleep/recovery, maintaining positive relationships, managing stress, and abstaining from harmful substances, such as drug drugs and alcohol.

And what is the result??
Their patients GET OFF OF THEIR MEDICATIONS! 🙌🏼
They see reversal of disease!
They lose the weight!
They’re able to get back to the lives they enjoy! 😊

Health doesn’t come from pills.💊

And if you’re going to continue to eat the same, maintain a sedentary lifestyle, and do what you’re accustomed to doing because you’re too busy, tired, lack motivation, and so on, then you will not see improvements overall.

This weekend I broke my fast with these delicious meals. 💚

Yes, fully plant-based. 🌱

When using a pancake mix, ensure it isn’t one of those “complete” mixes as they contain cow’s milk and eggs and we ain’t having any of THAT! 🙂‍↔️

Simply add in plant milk and a few tablespoons of apple sauce to your mix, and any other fruits you’d like, and you’re ready to enjoy a yummy meal!

I also loveeee tofu “eggs” and will season up slices of tofu (unless I scramble it up), making sure to add some nutritional yeast, tumeric, pepper, garlic salt, onion powder, paprika, parsley etc, add a plant-based cheese, sautee some veggies (typically) and put it all on a wrap or bagel.
I get these high fiber, high protein bagels or wraps.

I’ve been recovering from a tooth 🦷 extraction & an awful cold for several days now and I was very determined to focus on my sleep & recovery.
Sleeping earlier and laying low… trying not to expend my energy so my body could focus on healing and recovery.
I’m still going through it but I can tell it’s really helped!

Past me would push ahead and disregard how awful I was feeling.
NOT anymore!!

When you’re going through healing, please ensure your sleep becomes a priority.
You won’t regret it! 💤

“Sick and suddenly sleeping way more?

That’s not weakness.
That’s biology.

When you’re fighting a cold, flu, or virus:

• Your immune system releases sleep-promoting cytokines
• Inflammation increases
• Your body redirects energy toward healing
• Fatigue rises on purpose

Sleep becomes treatment.

But if you already struggle with insomnia, this shift can feel scary.

You might wonder:
“Am I ruining my progress?”
“Is my sleep schedule destroyed?”
“Why am I this tired?”

Increased sleep during illness is normal.
Temporary naps are normal.
Earlier bedtimes are normal.”
