It was decided at the joint meeting in Denver that the AACO Western Region would greatly benefit from a page that could keep its members updated on both professional and social activities. Thanks to Laurie Hahn-Parrott the Western Region is now incorporated in the state of Colorado which means lots of little things but mostly we can conduct business and own a bank account without a individual's na
me being assigned to that account. Plans in the future include trying to gain 501(c) tax status as a non-profit organization - most likely achieved by huddling under the umbrella of our national organization. There are also much more interesting plans like a AACO Western Region social gathering at the AACO National Meeting in Las Vegas! I hope you will join us in helping to strengthen the sense of community within this region. The more the merrier, and everyone should feel free to post on this page and offer up ideas.
