Something I’ve learned over the years in this sector is that the best outcomes for participants almost always come down to good collaboration between the people around them.

Support workers, coordinators, therapists, families, hospital teams, providers… everyone brings a different piece of the puzzle.

When communication is open and people feel comfortable picking up the phone to talk things through, it makes navigating the complexities a lot easier.

Keeping the focus where it belongs, working together to support the person in a way that genuinely works for them.

Townsville and the surrounding regions have some incredibly dedicated people in this space, and it’s always great connecting with others who genuinely care about the people they support.

If anyone ever wants to connect, share ideas, or just have a coffee and talk shop, my door is always open.

✨ SIRV Champion: Darren ✨

After months of bed rest and extended hospital stays, our participant Darren, who lives with Spina Bifida, is once again making choices for himself, and it’s been so powerful for his support team to witness.

Following an incredibly challenging period, including the loss of his mother and a recent lengthy ICU stay, Darren is currently bedbound but working hard toward getting back out and about in his wheelchair again.

For someone who genuinely enjoys food and community experiences, Darren is on a mission to improve his health through better nutrition. With the encouragement of his support team, Darren is now taking ownership of his meal planning – creating shopping lists, selecting ingredients, helping prepare meals and committing to the routines he sets. Beyond nutrition, Darren continues to stay connected to his community through social media, where he shares food experiences.

What began as a time filled with setbacks is now becoming a story of resilience, growth, and renewed confidence with these impactful steps Darren is taking.

📱 Follow Darren’s journey through his page: Rollin About - with DAZZA, where he reviews restaurants, bars and clubs and highlights their accessibility for people using wheelchairs.

WHY SIRV? WHY EMMA?

I’m often asked why I joined Sirv and the answer is simple.

After more than a decade in disability and community services, I’ve seen how often people fall through the cracks.
Rushed services. Constant staff changes. Poor communication. Families left carrying stress they shouldn’t have to.

Sirv was built to do this differently.

We operate small and hands-on, by design. That means consistency, clear communication, and genuinely knowing the people we support, not just their file notes.

I stay personally involved in every complex situation, because I believe trust, stability, and accountability can’t be delegated.

I’m particularly drawn to complex, high-risk, and emotionally demanding situations, the ones where people feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what to do next. These are the spaces where good support changes lives, not just schedules.

Sirv isn’t about volume.
It’s about doing things properly, safely, and sustainably.

If you’re a family, participant, or support coordinator looking for a provider who is local, involved, and genuinely invested — you’re always welcome to reach out.

Hi, I’m Emma — Managing Partner behind Sirv Townsville 👋

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little about why I do this work.

I’ve spent over a decade in disability and community services, and I’m consistently drawn to complex, emotionally demanding situations, the ones where people feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what to do next.

Sirv Townsville was built to provide local, hands-on NDIS supports focused on complex needs, stability, and genuine connection. I stay closely involved in every complex case so participants, families, and coordinators always have clear communication, fast decisions, and consistent support.

I specialise in supporting people through:
• Hospital-to-community transitions
• Psychosocial disability
• Complex physical supports
• Justice-involved participants
• Supported Independent Living (SIL) pathways

At the heart of everything I do are four simple values:

Safety. Stability. Dignity. Long-term outcomes.

Because great supports are built on trust, honesty, strong relationships, and accountability.

If you're navigating a complex or challenging situation, I’m always happy to connect.

Emma 🤍
