World Hepatitis Day is observed on 28 July — a reminder that liver health should not be ignored.

Hepatitis can affect the liver in different ways, and the different types do not all spread in the same way. Some types can spread through contaminated food or water, while others can spread through infected blood or body fluids.

The important message is simple: know your risks, ask questions, and speak to a doctor about testing, vaccination and early treatment where needed.

If you are unsure about your liver health, symptoms, vaccination history or risk factors, speak to your CuroMed doctor.

Not every mental health concern is an emergency — but some moments need urgent help.

Seek immediate medical care if someone is experiencing:
• Severe panic or distress that feels unmanageable.
• Confusion or sudden unusual behaviour.
• Possible overdose.
• Self-harm risk.
• Extreme agitation or emotional crisis.
• Symptoms that may also feel physical, like chest tightness, shortness of breath or faintness .
