🌸Every single person who you walk past on the street, who you see at a school meeting, who you stand next to in a shop, who you see enjoying a meal in a restaurant, who you speak to from a call centre, who you drive past on the road, who you see enjoying a BBQ with friends..... is all experiencing some form of stress in their life...
You cannot escape it completely because this would mean that life isn't happening... this would mean that you are not alive!

Maybe you have lost a loved one,
Maybe you are experiencing financial stress,
Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed because there is just too much to get to in a day,
Maybe you feel you are not living out your purpose,

Your immune system struggles to fight off illness when you are in a high state of stress.

Your immune system was designed to fight off bacteria, viruses and any other possible infections. It is there to protect you from illness, harm or death. Therefore, the billions of lymphocytes and phagocytes (white blood cells), need their host (you) to provide them with the optimal home base to perform their task to the best of their ability. They need you to provide them with an optimal environment to enable them to be the best soldiers that they can be!

A healthy home (body) leads to a productive, effective combatting system that can do what it was intended to do. To fight when necessary.

An increase in Cortisol levels (which occurs when your body is in fight or flight mode) can suppress your immune system and affect your body’s ability to fight off illness.

Now take a moment to assess at what rate you find yourself getting sick; a common cold, flu, inflammation, headaches, body aches or maybe something a little more serious.

Just another very important reason to DE-STRESS

BUT it has an incredible messaging system that signals you to STOP and take notice...

It tells you that it needs you to do something to relieve the stress
