We're missing this little face so much! We had quick call with Alba's little sister, Beth, this morning before Alba was wheeled into theatre. We haven't seen Beth in person in almost three weeks 😞

Alba had a bone marrow aspiration, so please send positive energy, hopes, and prayers this way that the leukaemia cells in her bone marrow have been significantly reduced. We'll get the results in a couple of days 🙏🤞🧡❤️🧡

Healthy smoothies, schoolwork, physio, and very carefully planned, sanitised to the max visits!

Alba's been doing very well these past few days. Blood work is coming back looking good and staying steady enough that she won't require blood or platelet transfusions, like many do at this stage. So that's very positive.

We are keeping all fingers and toes crossed that we can even get out of the hospital for a couple of nights this week... please cross everything with us 🤞❤️🤞🧡

She's looking a bit brighter today after a rough few mornings. It seems mornings are not the easiest. But she's keen to start on her biology assignment while munching on pistachios and peanuts 🧡❤️🧡❤️

Check her out... down to one crutch already, just over a week after having her femur drilled. What a champ 💪❤️🧡

We're now in the period where Alba's counts are starting to drop dramatically, as part of the process following an intensive course of chemo. So sadly, that means complete isolation for a while. But she's doing well and seriously living up to her name 🥰

I have amazing news 🥰 Alba's spinal fluid came back clear of leukaemia cells. So she won't need the extra lumbar puncture.

Chemo plan will carry on as normal, and for now, it'll be to target the leukaemia cells in her bone marrow and elsewhere in her body 🧡🧡🧡

And as you can see, she's doing so amazing in her recovery from her leg op. What an absolute inspiration.

I never thought I'd have to rehash this page, but here we are.

For those that don't already know, I have some bad news. Alba's relapsed and we'll be starting another treatment plan for leukaemia soon.

With it being a more intensive treatment this time around, we'll be staying at the hospital in Cape Town for a minimum of a month.

We have got this though. She's such an incredibly brave girl and we're ready to face this head on with her. Cancer better be ready to have its butt kicked to the kerb again.

Please keep Alba in your thoughts as she needs all the love and prayers right now 🙏🙏❤️❤️
