Anxiety in motherhood doesn’t always look dramatic.

Sometimes it looks like:
• Constant overthinking
• Feeling restless all the time
• Struggling to sleep even when the baby sleeps
• Racing thoughts
• Irritability
• Fear that something bad might happen
• Feeling mentally “on” 24/7

And because so many moms experience this quietly, it often goes unnoticed.

In this powerful webinar, Dr Elsa du Toit will unpack the reality of maternal anxiety—what’s normal, what’s not and when it’s time to seek support.

This session is designed to help mothers feel informed, validated and supported, not judged.

“You’re just a worried mom.”
But what if it’s more than that?

Many women struggling with anxiety in motherhood don’t realise what they’re experiencing is actually maternal anxiety.

Because they’re functioning.
Because they’re coping.
Because everyone tells them this is “normal.”

But constantly feeling on edge, unable to switch off, consumed by worry or mentally exhausted is not something you have to silently live with.

🌿 Join Dr Elsa du Toit for an important live webinar: I’m Not Depressed. I’m Anxious: Understanding Anxiety in Motherhood

Dr Elsa combines professional expertise in maternal mental health with a deeply compassionate approach to help mothers better understand what anxiety really looks like during pregnancy and postpartum.

Postpartum psychosis is a serious condition  but it is also highly treatable, especially when recognised early.

Too often, conversations around postpartum psychosis are shaped by fear, stigma, and sensational headlines. What is less often discussed is that risk can sometimes be identified before birth, protection is possible, and early intervention matters.

Women deserve more than reassurance after crisis develops. They deserve clear information, structured support, and informed decision-making throughout pregnancy and postpartum.

Understanding your health profile, recognising vulnerability, and building resilience are all part of preventative maternal mental healthcare.

You are not alone, and help is available. Join Mindful Moms to better understand your health profile, your vulnerabilities, and your strengths. Link in bio.

Better decisions don’t come from more information.

Better decisions come from having structure.

Because in pregnancy (and in clinical care), the problem is rarely a lack of data.

It’s:
– too much information
– conflicting advice
– and no clear way to weigh it all

So everything feels urgent, risky and
nothing feels clear.

But with structure uncertainty becomes manageable, decisions become clearer
and confidence follows.

The work is not about removing all uncertainty. It is about learning how to think within it.

What we understand, we prioritise.
What we prioritise,shapes outcomes.

Mental health in pregnancy is not optional.
It is foundational to outcomes for both mother and baby.

Follow for clarity in maternal mental health.

The Invisible Work of Pregnancy

On International Workers’ Day, we recognise labour.

But there’s a kind we rarely name: Pregnancy.

Long before a baby is born, a mother is already working, constantly monitoring, deciding, filtering advice and carrying the weight of responsibility.

This work is invisible. And unstructured.

So the mind keeps scanning, keeps questioning… until it becomes overwhelmed.

What we call “anxiety” is often not random.

It’s the result of too much information, not enough clarity.

Because reassurance fades.
But structure changes everything.

Pregnancy is not only physical work.

It is cognitive. Emotional. Relentless.

And it deserves recognition and better support.

Pregnancy isn’t just physical. It’s mental, emotional and full of decisions. When there’s no clear way to think through it all, the mind keeps scanning.
More information, More overwhelm Increased Unstructured Mental Load.

If you’re looking for structure to navigate your mental health & healthcare decisions in pregnancy, we invite you to explore the Mindful Mom workshops where structured clarity makes calm, confident decisions possible so moms and babies can thrive.

Structure simplifies complex information. It allows clarity which guides choices that support both mothers and babies.

Mood symptoms in pregnancy aren’t straightforward. And more information often adds to the overwhelm rather than resolving it.

What matters is context. A way to make sense of symptoms within the bigger picture, never in isolation.

A sincere thank you to the women who joined last night’s session. Your presence and engagement shaped a thoughtful, grounded discussion.

I’m excited about these ongoing monthly meetings, where we make sense of pregnancy and mental health, and build health together.

Join us if you’re looking for clarity on maintaining your mental health in pregnancy.
