Most people think it’s one or the other.

Chemotherapy or natural treatments. Oncologist or integrative specialist. Conventional or holistic.

But the most effective approach isn’t a choice between them, it’s both, working together.

At Sanctura, Dr. James Laporta works alongside conventional oncologists to build a treatment plan that covers every angle. Not instead of your existing care. Alongside it.

Cancer doesn’t choose based on your wealth, your lifestyle, or your choices.

It chooses the best of us. But how the most successful patients respond, that’s where the difference is made. And it has nothing to do with money.

What if you could hide something inside a cancer cell, and it wouldn’t even know?

That’s exactly what photodynamic therapy does.

We inject a photosensitising agent. Cancer cells absorb it. They hold onto it. They’re completely unaffected by it, sitting there, totally unaware.

Then we bring in a laser at precisely the right frequency.

The oxygen inside those cancer cells starts breaking up cellular structures. The cell dies. The healthy cells around it? Untouched.

It’s not science fiction. It’s a clinical treatment available now, and it’s one of the most targeted approaches in integrative oncology.

We can deliver it superficially, through needles placed close to the tumour, or intravenously using fibre optic cables to target circulating tumour cells in the bloodstream.

No systemic side effects. Minimally invasive. And when combined with chemotherapy, we see our strongest results.

Watch Dr. James explain exactly how it works, and why it’s changing what’s possible for cancer patients.

They doubled survival. In one of the deadliest cancers.
A Phase 2 randomised controlled trial at the University of Iowa added high-dose IV Vitamin C to standard chemotherapy for stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer.

8 months → 16 months median overall survival.
The trial was stopped early. The benefit was too clear to continue.

This isn’t a wellness trend. At IV concentrations, Vitamin C becomes a pro-oxidant, generating hydrogen peroxide inside cancer cells. Cancer cells can’t neutralise it. Healthy cells can. Selectively targeted.

And patients didn’t just live longer. Research suggests they felt better too. Fewer side effects. Able to tolerate more treatment.
The protocol used in the trial: 75g, three times weekly, at a controlled infusion rate. At Sanctura, our oncology-trained nurses administer electrolyte-balanced high-dose Vitamin C at clinically appropriate rates, and all patients are screened before starting.

Research suggests it may also be safely combined with modulated electrohyperthermia, with possible synergy with chemotherapy.

This is available now. If your oncologist hasn’t mentioned it, now you know.

“Why me? Why again?”

Those were her words when metastatic breast cancer returned in October 2025, seven years after she first went into remission. She came to Sanctura fearful, in pain, and at the verge of losing hope. In her own words:

“All the pain is gone. The enlargement stopped. My quality of life has improved drastically. I sleep like a baby at night. I’m feeling like there’s nothing wrong with me. I’m healed. I’ve recovered. I’m ready to face the world again.”

She does her morning walks now. She feels energetic. She says she can call, text, or SMS Dr. James at any time, and she knows the support is there.

That’s what integrative oncology looks like. You don’t have to face a cancer diagnosis alone. And you don’t have to choose between conventional treatment and feeling truly cared for.

34 randomised trials. 2,580 cancer patients. One finding researchers keep confirming. →

Curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, has been studied extensively as an add-on to conventional cancer treatment. Reduced fatigue. Better treatment tolerance. Improved inflammatory markers. In some trials, enhanced response to chemotherapy.

The problem? Less than 1% of oral curcumin reaches your bloodstream, even at high doses.

At Sanctura, we deliver it intravenously bypassing the gut entirely, at concentrations supplements can’t come close to.
This isn’t alternative medicine. It’s evidence-informed integrative oncology, prescribed individually and coordinated with your oncology team.

Jessica flew from the Netherlands to Cape Town with a stage four breast cancer diagnosis. She wanted one thing: a clinic that offered everything.

Conventional and integrative. Under one roof. Coordinated.
Hyperthermia. Photodynamic therapy. High-dose vitamin C. Chemotherapy. All working together.

By May — five months in — the tumours in her breast had basically gone. She is now on a maintenance protocol. Back in the Netherlands. Living her life. “From the very conventional to the very alternative, everything is possible here. That was, for me, the best option I could find anywhere in the world.”

This is what we do at Sanctura. 🔗 Link in bio.

Results are individual. Treatment plans are assessed case by case.
