I feel incredibly privileged to be in Bali, soaking up the very practices that have shaped my life and become my work.
As a teacher, facilitator, and space holder, my days are often spent giving. Guiding yoga, meditation, sound healing, ceremonies, and creating experiences for others to reconnect with themselves. It is deeply rewarding and a purpose I cherish. But if thereās one thing Iāve learned over the years, itās that giving without receiving can eventually leave you empty.
Being here has reminded me how important it is to step back into the role of the student. To sit in someone elseās session. To be guided instead of guiding. To receive healing instead of facilitating it. To listen, absorb, learn, and simply be.
These moments refill something that can slowly become depleted when weāre constantly holding space for others. They reignite inspiration, deepen humility, and reconnect us to why we started this path in the first place.
Every yoga class, sound healing, holistic treatment, meditation with monks, and meaningful conversation here,
has been nourishing my own spirit. Not as an escape from my life and work, but as an essential part of it.
Because the more we allow ourselves to receive, the more authentically we can give.
To all the teachers, healers, coaches, and facilitators out there: never forget to place yourself on the receiving end of the practice too. Your energy, your inspiration, and your wellbeing deserve the same care and devotion you so generously offer others. ā„ļø
Thank you to and the amazing for grounding me wholeheartedly back to nature and a sense of peace.
