Naked Narratives An educational and therapeutic writing program enlightening women and youth through the power of creativity. Garriques created her own program.

Founded by Jheanelle Garriques in 2014, Naked Narratives is a narrative therapy project which brings women together to reflect on pivotal life experiences collectively. The project operates as a writing program, emphasizing the value of individual body parts as characters in our life stories; we write, reflect, and adorn ourselves to celebrate. Naked Narratives helps women to discover self-sustain

ing tools for compassion, creativity, and confidence. Naked Narratives was inspired by the ethnographic work of German feminist Frigga Haug. By expanding on some of the research described in her book, Female Sexualization: A Collective Work of Memory, Ms. This curriculum combines research in narrative embodiment with multicultural adornment practice to present a powerful new model for group therapy. Though the body parts/topics do change with each new cohort, the program remains the same in essence.
