How many gold stars did you get? ⭐

55kg down and, somewhere along the way, I got a lot less interested in doing weight loss the “right” way according to the internet.

⭐I’ve learnt that obesity deserves treatment, not shame.
⭐That GLP-1s aren’t cheating or the easy way out.
⭐That loose skin is not a failed transformation.
⭐That sustainable habits take years, not 12-week challenges.
⭐And that most of us need far less restriction, supplementation and diet noise than we’ve been sold.

I’m not here to sell you perfection.

I’m here for women over 50 who want honest conversations about obesity, menopause, medical weight loss, strength and what changing your health actually looks like in real life.

55kg lighter. A hell of a lot wiser. And still ignoring the bu****it. ⭐

Full-blown autistic meltdown activated.

Not by autism alone, obviously.
By 47 WhatsApps, 16 “just following up” messages, two teenage daughters, a full-time job, a side hustle, an agency, and clients who have confused their lack of planning with a national emergency.

At this point, if it’s urgent, please urgently leave me alone.

It’s just a netball skirt.

Except it really, really isn’t.

Two and a half years ago, I could never have imagined standing here at 53, 55kg lighter, wearing my 13-year-old daughter’s skirt.

Not because smaller is better. Not because fitting into her clothes was ever the goal.

But because sometimes you need a completely ridiculous little moment to make you realise just how far you’ve come.

Today was one of those moments. ❤️

Losing weight and treating obesity are not the same thing. And that was a massive aha for me.

Personal experience only. Not medical advice.

This week’s dinners are sorted, because I refuse to waste precious brainpower asking “what are we eating tonight?” five times a week.

On the menu:

🥦 Monday: Slow Cooker Beef & Broccoli
🍗 Tuesday: Creamy Tuscan Chicken Orzo Bake
🍔 Wednesday: Bunless Beef Burger with Sweet Potato Fries
🥘 Thursday: Slow Cooker Pot Roast
🥗 Friday: Crumbed Parmesan Chicken & Salad

All high-protein, family-friendly and calorie-conscious, with the full recipes, macros and one complete shopping list ready to go.

For me, this is less about being “organised” and more about removing one boring, repetitive task from my week. Plan once. Shop once. Then just cook.

If you want access to my weekly meal plans + shopping lists, comment “DINNER PLEASE” below and I’ll send you the details.

Cheating? Who? What? How?
53kgs down & I don’t even care if you call me a cheat at this point! 🤣

50kgs later… and everyone wants to know the dose.

But the dose was never the magic.

For me, the real difference came from using the GLP-1 properly: eating enough protein, managing calories, fueling my body, and getting the right support.

The injection is a tool.
The plan is what makes it work.

Things I’d text you if you asked…
The products, tools and little everyday things I genuinely use and get asked about ALL the time as a menopausal woman that has lost 50+kgs in the last 2 years.

These aren’t random supplements I’ve collected because TikTok told me to. 😂 They each have a reason for being there:

Biogen South Africa Omega-3: Mainly for heart health. Omega-3s can help lower triglycerides, which is something I’m particularly conscious of.

Biogen South Africa Magnesium glycinate: Magnesium plays an important role in normal muscle and nerve function. I train regularly, so supporting muscle function and recovery is a priority for me.

Vitamin D3 + K2: Bone health becomes increasingly important as we get older and move through menopause. Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium, so this is one I’m particularly conscious about.

CoQ10 / CardioMax: I take a statin and personally found this made a noticeable difference to the muscle cramps I was experiencing. There is some evidence for CoQ10 helping statin-related muscle symptoms, although the research isn’t completely settled.

Not saying everyone needs my little pharmacy. 😂 Supplements should be individual to YOU, your diet, medication and bloodwork.

Protein is one of my biggest priorities, especially while losing weight and strength training. This is my current go-to from Sci-Core Nutrition South Africa 🇿🇦 because it’s simple, unflavoured and easy to add to pretty much anything.

I’m a BIG believer in creatine, especially now.

At 53, in menopause, strength training and having lost more than 50kg, maintaining muscle is a massive priority for me. Creatine combined with resistance training has good evidence behind it for supporting strength and lean mass in older women.

But I’m currently using Ultra Rebuild from Dermaclinical because it’s more than just creatine. It combines creatine, amino acids, electrolytes and microbiome-supportive nutrients in one, and was specifically formulated for things like weight loss, GLP-1 use, menopause, training and recovery.

For me, that makes sense. I’m eating in a calorie deficit, training to stay strong and trying to protect the muscle I’ve worked bloody hard to build.

Plus, it’s unflavoured,
