Why not active recovery?

Active recovery or flush out sessions promote the recovery process post-exercise. Active recovery is defined as a low-intensity physical activity and may also include massage to facilitate the body’s recovery process. Massage helps by decreasing delayed onset of muscle soreness (DOMS) and one’s perception of pain.

By working your muscles at an intensity lower than your regular exercise intensity it promotes the removal of lactate, faster recovery for cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, and prevents immune suppression (due to increased blood and lymph flow), while limiting the stress/load placed on the muscles. So, on your rest days make sure to keep active recovery in mind, especially after those LEG days! I know they tend to hurt🙈

As we are currently set in an uncertain times, with this pandemic dictating our freedom. We need to accept there are just some things we do not have control over, but we can dictate how it affects us as a person and/or society.

So take time to reflect, regroup and plan a way forward. “It is our light, not our darkness that frighten us”. So the part where we feel afraid/nervous/insecure should now start diminishing, because time has literally stood still these past few weeks to allow you time to focus and contribute to your ‘bigger plan’ - dream.

Because the world will heal itself and end up going back a new ‘normal’. While waiting on this new ‘normal’ just make sure your light keeps burning💡, glowing and lighting up the world which was once filled with so many uncertainties.

So let’s put in the graft today to make for a better tomorrow. And just remember the GRAFT never ends, it just changes its form overtime 🗣
