Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy are both treatment options for cancer.

If the cancer is spreading rapidly, chemotherapy will be the most likely approach. Radiation therapy may make more sense for particular types of cancer that are affecting smaller areas.

With Chemotherapy, specialised drugs are used that are designed to target and kill cells that divide rapidly. These drugs work throughout the entire body, not just one specific part, so they can prevent cancer cells from spreading to other parts of the body.

Radiation therapy works differently. Radiation aims to target the specific area of the body where there are cancerous cells.
