Three days until we set our table in the garden at . ✨

We're packing the pieces we reach for in our own practice. Raw and tumbled crystals, resins for slow smoke, incense and smudge, and pure essential oils.

If you've been curious about frankincense resin or which stone sits well beside your bed, come and ask. We love those conversations.

🌫️✨ WHAT ARE BACKFLOW INCENSE CONES… AND HOW DO THEY WORK? ✨🌫️

If you’ve ever seen incense smoke flowing downwards like a tiny waterfall, this is how it’s done. 👀

Backflow cones look similar to normal incense cones, but they have a hollow channel through the centre. When used with a specially designed backflow incense burner, the smoke travels down through the opening and cascades through the burner.

And the effect is seriously mesmerising. 😍

Using them is simple:

Place your backflow burner on a flat, heat-resistant surface away from draughts.

Position the cone over the burner’s top opening.

Light the tip and allow it to flame for a few seconds.

Gently blow the flame out and leave the cone glowing.

Give it a little time… then watch the smoke begin to flow down the burner. 🌫️

The trick? Keep it away from fans, open windows and strong airflow — even a small breeze can disturb that beautiful smoke waterfall.

🔥 Always burn incense responsibly, never leave it unattended, and allow the burner to cool before handling or cleaning.

We have a variety of backflow cones and burners available at Secret Sense, including waterfall, dragon and other decorative burner styles.

👇 Have you ever tried a backflow burner before? Or is this your first time seeing one?
