I'm Carlyle, your expert Physiotherapist💪
I am an avid sportsman passionate about fitness and wellbeing. I am constantly in learning and in search of the best treatment protocols for my patients as well as myself.
Having had multiple injuries as a result of being so active, I can attest to the benefits of not only physiotherapy, but a wholistic rehabilitation plan to prevent further damage and recuring injuries. Because of this I can also empathise with patients with regards to the hard work, patience and diligence required to be in recovery.

I qualified from the University of Stellenbosch with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy. I did my community service in a rural area in the East Rand called Tsakane. Here I managed to attain the skills required to treat within an underprivileged community and had to make do with the minimal resources available

Since then, I have enjoyed treating all types of conditions, but I have a keen interest in sports injuries, back and neck pain as well as neuromuscular skeletal conditions

The shoes that you wear can have an effect on your spinal health. High heels, for example, can cause back problems because they alter the wearer’s posture by forcing the chest and lower back forward, tilting the pelvis up and placing increased pressure on the knees. Flip-flops are also a culprit in that they cause you to shorten your stride and curl or pinch your toes to keep your shoes on while you walk.

They also do not provide any ankle or foot support whatsoever. The best shoes to wear are flat, fit you well, provide foot and arch support and boast a thicker, cushioned sole.
