Your counsellor has a counsellor. 😂

I've been seeing mine monthly for 12 years. Showing up, doing the work, laughing, crying, hearing the hard things, doing the homework and being reminded that knowing all the theory doesn't make you immune to being human.

Because counsellors need somewhere to unpack their own stuff, too.

So if I'm your counsellor, then she's your grand counsellor. The extended family you never knew you had 😆

You're welcome for the introduction. 😂🤍

Your counsellor isn't being harsh. She's being useful. 😂🤍

I often tell my clients they can come and complain about the same thing every week, or they can start looking at what they're going to do differently.

Because understanding why you keep doing the thing isn't the finish line. It's where change starts.

And if your "thing" is snapping at the kids, then lying awake with the guilt? Babe, you are not a bad mom. Mom rage isn't random, and there's a reason it keeps happening.

I made you a free guide that walks you through it. 🤍
Comment RESET and I'll send it straight to you.

You are not a bad mom. You are an overwhelmed mom carrying too much for too long. 🤍

Mom rage isn’t random. There’s a reason it keeps happening, and it’s not that you don’t love your kids.

I made you a free guide that explains what’s happening in your brain and body, and what actually helps.

Sometimes, the things children need to learn are the very things we, as grown women, need to hear. 🤍

A little girl I work with has been labelled "the quiet one." So I asked her: "Can you be quiet and confident?"

You can. Quiet doesn't mean small, and it doesn't mean you have nothing to say.

How many of us are still carrying a label? The quiet one. The sensitive one. The organised one. The angry one.

And as moms we collect new ones: "the strict one." "The one who snaps."

Babe, a label is just what someone saw once. It isn't who you are.

If "the angry mom" is the one you've been wearing lately, hear me: mom rage isn't random, and there's a reason it keeps happening. 🤍

I made you a free guide that walks you through it.

As a wellness counsellor, I love having tools like this in my sessions because sensory play from Olivia's Mom can offer so much more than meets the eye.

🧠 Attention & engagement: Having something to do with their hands can help some children engage more comfortably in a session.

💬 Communication: Not every child finds it easy to talk about their feelings. Sometimes, doing something alongside a trusted adult takes the pressure off and creates opportunities for conversation.

🤍 Connection: Play gives us a way to spend time together without every interaction needing to be a question, a lesson or a conversation about what’s wrong.

And parents, you can do this at home too!

You don’t need fancy equipment. A tray, a sensory bag from Olivia's Mom and a little imagination can create a lovely opportunity to connect with your child.

Your pre-teen hasn’t outgrown play. They’ve just outgrown some of the ways we used to play with them. 😉

Save this idea for your next afternoon at home!

We all need a yellow person. 💛

The person who brings a little sunshine into your life when things feel heavy. The one who reminds you of the good, makes you laugh when you want to cry, and leaves you feeling a little lighter just by being around them.

They’re called your yellow person because they’re your sunshine on the cloudy days. ☀️

Who’s yours? Tag them. 💛

Don’t overthink it. 🤍

Take a breath, pick a number, and go with the one you’re drawn to first. No changing your mind after you’ve swiped. 😂

Maybe it’s exactly what you needed to hear. Maybe it makes you think about something differently. Or maybe it just gives you a little moment to pause and check in with yourself.

Your reminder that sometimes, a different perspective is all you need.

Tell me your number in the comments. I want to know which message found you. 👇🏼🤍
