For many young people, unwanted hair can affect confidence—especially on the face, arms, legs, back or belly. Shaving only cuts hair at the surface and needs constant repetition, while waxing and plucking can be uncomfortable and may contribute to irritation, ingrown hairs and inflamed follicles.

Laser hair removal works differently. It targets pigment within the hair follicle to achieve progressive hair reduction over a series of treatments. Hair may grow back more slowly, more sparsely and often finer—meaning less time spent shaving or waxing and fewer battles with stubble and ingrowns.

Starting during the tween years does not guarantee permanent removal. Puberty and hormonal changes can stimulate new hair growth, so additional sessions or future maintenance may be needed. SMOKER’S LIPS? DARK LIPS? LET’S TALK PICO. 👄

Dark lip pigmentation can be caused by smoking, excessive sun exposure, dehydration, genetics, lip biting, or post-inflammatory pigmentation. At LaserTouch, we use advanced Pico Laser pigmentation correction technology with the 1064nm wavelength to help break down excess pigment and gradually restore a brighter, more even lip tone.

What does it feel like?
Most clients describe it as a quick snapping or tingling sensation — around 2–4/10 discomfort. The treatment is very fast (30 minutes), and a numbing cream can be used for extra comfort if needed.

How much can it help?
Pico works gradually and naturally. Many clients notice:

* Reduced dark borders around the lips
* Softer, healthier-looking lip colour
* Improved overall lip tone and texture
* Progressive brightening over a series of treatments
