🟢 Proposed Amendments to AHPCSA Legislation

The Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA) intends to submit amendments to its governing legislation, including:
• The Rules of 1983
• The Regulations of 2001

These proposed amendments aim to modernise the current legislative framework, which is considered outdated and places limitations on practitioners and therapists, particularly in relation to public awareness and financial sustainability. The amendments further seek to support and empower practitioners both clinically and economically, while maintaining the Council’s mandate to protect the public.

📢 Call for Stakeholder Input
Registered practitioners, organisations, and all interested stakeholders are invited to review the proposed amendments and submit written comments or representations.

🗓 Closing date: 12 June 2026 at 16h00
📧 Submissions: [email protected]

Submissions must include your AHPCSA registration number, full name, profession, and a valid email address.
